Genuinely interested as to which ref you would have in there if given the choice?
Honestly, anyone other than Klein, Atkins, Gee or Gough. The rest are at least semi competent IMO.

Unpopular opinion, but I can forgive Sutton and Cummins for the 6 again - they both called it how they saw it, one was wrong one was right, either way one of the teams would have been adversely affected. It happens. It doesn’t make them bad referees.

Mistakes aside, at least the Sutton bros, Cummins, Smith, Ziggy and the others have a bit of an understanding and feel for the game.

Klein, Atkins, Gee and Gough - more than the others - are far too mechanical and can’t adjust to what’s happening in front of them. Ironically, that’s probably why they’ve managed to rise through the ranks. I just don’t think they have good situational awareness. They all inevitably lose control of the ruck and then try to stamp their authority with random penalties which just confuses everyone.

Raiders are a huge chance with Storm's patchy form tbh. Still wouldn't ever be game enough to back them though.

Says the armchair ref.....

You couldn't adjudicate a cock fight in the back streets of Surabaya.

Wait, we got Grant Atkins?

f**k.

f**k!

f**kKKKKKKKKKKKK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I still remember that Raiders vs Storm game in Canberra where he put Bailey Simonsson in the bin for absolutely nothing, then penalised us out of the game with wrong decision after wrong decision. It’s the angriest I’ve ever been about a referee’s performance and the origin of my hatred for the pube-collecting merkin.

f**k you NRL. The well of refereeing talent must be well and truly dry if they’re forced to roll out this talentless, arrogant f**kwit with no feel for the game for a finals match.
Crying already Skeepe? Nice to see you doing your warmup.

I think it's simple. As long as;
1. Jesse Bromwich stands up and plays his best, making the hard yards (more than 100m would be a nice change) and not passing more than he runs, and
2. Brandon actually puts his heart into it for more than 15 minutes
then Storm will win it well...

...nah, we're f*cked.

I think Smith is one of the better refs. His games have a good flow to them and he doesn't seem to favour either side. He had I think two captains challenges go against him last week which doesn't help.

Jesse has low key been an average forward for the past 2 years now. Storm should have let him go and kept Tino

Atkins got the Raiders over the line against us in Round 23. He loves the Green Machine.

Last thing Storm practice before kickoff is wrestling. Hope the Raiders have some time with surgeons pencilled in for next week.

I don’t get Bellamy’s tactic of playing Munster at fullback in defence, Meaney is a better kick returner. If he is that intent on playing him there a backline would be:

1. Munster
2. Coates
3. Nofoaluma
4. Olam
5. Meaney
6. Johns
7. Hughes

Seve is a liability
