Cutting before the season starts is 1-year guaranteed like free agents, but it's the equivalent of the usual 25% anyway with 4 year rookie deals.

Free agency is open.

Reminder: Use sensible increments once the bidding gets up there.
Spending is capped by your current salary cap + active auctions.
The site will allow you to go over the roster limit.
Each owner can have 5 nominations up at any time.
Auctions will end 36 hours after the highest bid.
Contract years will be due at the end of free agency, don't post them during.

If the site allows you to return them then yeah, there is a 3 week minimum on the active roster before they can go back down.
