Mai’u successful with the downgrade on his charge- downgrades to careless, will miss two games so available from round 3 (apparently trials don’t count).
Not sure I’ve seen anything more ridiculous in league for a while than this, you can get suspended and miss serious matches in a trial game but you can’t serve it in the same sort of game you picked up the ban

Tom Gilbert from the Dolphins gone for the year with an ACL

Gus Gould has announced Heilim Luki will be staying with the Cowboys lol

off topic, watching the Breakers at the moment, unbelievably gutsy and tough performance, the little fella is absolutely immense and dragging them along on his own, hopefully they can hold on and close it out from 7 up with 5 to go

Ah, damn, poor dude. Didn't he miss most of last season as well? And this latest injury wasn't even in contact, was it? Just running in and bracing himself to make a tackle.

They did! Pretty epic victory, especially with it seems like half the team playing broken

Think he may have played Origin last year then done something ? Haven’t watched a second of trials so not sure how this one happened

One of the great Breakers victories, not sure how they’ll piece themselves back together for Monday, but 1 thing I know for sure is Cartwright will be giving it everything

Nah, it's an insanely stupid rule. It probably had to happen to a superstar to get it changed, Zyon won't get it done

I get the idea of it, you don’t want players having a free pass to go nuts in the GF knowing they’ll have the trials to serve suspensions. Bit you could easily solve that by reversing the rule so suspensions incurred before the trials couldn’t be served in them, but those incurred in trials could.

I've just gone a bit cold on thinking how ludicrous it is that a player can't include trials as part of a suspension that was cited in a previous trial.

Here's why: so you break another player's jaw with a punch in trial one. The victim misses trial two plus six competition games. You get suspended for six games, including trial two. So, in effect, the victim and his club miss six actual competition games whereas you only miss five.

Any tangible disadvantage must be with the perpetrator,

That makes little difference though. You could end a players season in trial one, get an eight week suspension and still play 2/3 of a season.
