Board member PD?Well today's D. T. has published a season guide. 1st coach to be sacked either Aiden O'Brien, Justin Holbrook or our own Anthony Griffin. Des Hasler has been tipped to replace one of these 3 fetching up to $900k per season. Out of the 18 apparent experts and tipsters 9 or 50% have selected our beloved Dragons to be awarded the wooden spoon. We won't get the spoon is my prediction. In fact I believe and this is based on the premise that we have a new coach by mid season we will finish 12th. I had lunch yesterday with a very old friend of mine who is still involved in the NRL and it is no secret in the RL World that our club is divided both in the boardroom and the team. The very 1st step in reconciliation will be the removal of the coach then a certain board member. We will then see the recruitment of some quality players and the excelleration of some of our home grown talent into our top 30. Time will tell
Or is it CY?Board member PD?
Board member PD?
I noticed when PD returned coincidently when we had that sports guy from the Sydney kings lined up everything went belly up
There is no chance in my view that this team will be competitive enough to make the semi finals. The backline lacks speed and the engine room lacks consistency in making the advantage line, especially if Griffin continues to select forwards out of position. Unfortunately this group are not playing for the coach and each other. My team round 1
1. Sloan
2. Rav
3. Lomax
4. Suli
5. Feigai
6. Sullivan
7. Hunt
8. Lawrie
9. Liddle
10. Musgrave
11. Sua
12. BMM
13. Bird
Reserves
14. Mbye
15. Kerr
16. JDB
17. f Molo
My biggest concern with the team chosen is the lateral speed of BMM, but with fui & burns as significantly worse options, the only other solution is to use Bird or Kerr, and both better in the middle. If BMM can manage defensively, then I’m pretty happy with the team, and it’s depth that’s an issue.

Its the best team we can trot out but iut still looks like a journeymans team...Mbye, BMM, Musgrave, Liddle......all reserve graders at every other club including the Knights and Titans...My team round 1

Moga for Rav I hope not but our backline are too slow and will be made look slower with a pack going backwardsI think Rav is no way near the same since he was suspended for rushing out and putting on a hit like Olam does without suspension. That was what we really got to love about him as he would change games. I remember one in particular against Manly where he smashed Parker and Tafua and they never went his side much. Those hits were very similar to what he got suspended for.
Without that what other value does Rav add to the team? He is a marked man by the officials. Also he is not quick and his hands are not that safe under the high ball. I would rather give the other Feagai a crack or some junior with pace. Unfortunately if Rav does not get picked Hook will go for his favourite in Moga who is the slowest winger in the league by far.
I would start JDB and F.Molo for sure. They are the better of the forwards by far if they are on their game.
AgreeI may eventually regret this post, but here it is:
The Dragons definitely WILL NOT win the wooden spoon - I've been watching the Bulldogs v Manly game and the Dogs are just rubbish, and Manly are not much better! Only 25 rounds to go.
I hope you are right OED but let's see how we go against the Titans first. The Bulldogs still have problems and one of them is that several are overpaid wasters. Still bottom four material. The Sea Eagles will make the top 8 this year.I may eventually regret this post, but here it is:

Well DD, to be fair, the Dragons will be 9th irrespective of who wins those 2 games. The only way the Dragons can get into the top 8 is if one (or both) of those games is a draw. I agree that the Roosters will beat the Dolphins, but Tigers/Titans is a 50/50 call. And it is still a week until the boys play their first game - it sure has been a long time coming! After this weekend, we will be 9th on the NRL ladder after the Roosters beat the Dolphins and the Tigers beat the Titans.
