If paulos tackle is just a fine I would say it’s a legit strategy going forward. Take out a key player with a precision attack to the knee

It's just the NRL making problems for themselves. Looking at replays Paulo doesn't drive into the knee too badly, he falls down on the knee, to bring Tapine down. But that's exactly what is happening with the hip drop. Falling on the back of the legs is apparently worse than falling on the knees?

After the bunker wrongly binned carrigan it seems they've changed the rule overnight.

Couchman's was textbook and only got put on report. It would be nice if the NRL communicated this clearly.

It's definitely just a fine. Dumb, but you could see he realised the position he'd got into and pulled out to an extent. Hence no force.

I’d like to see some degree of consequence being taken into account with these too. Happy enough for a fine in this instance but if Rapana had been injured then suspend him.

Lucky to escape with a fine. I don't buy the excuse he thought it was a Broncos player given, you know, he was looking right at him. Seemed more like he did it in the heat of the moment then realised what he'd done.
