Wait, Annesley didn't talk about the Radley headbutt at all in his weekly briefing?
Nope.
Talked about the Mahoney hip-drop-that-wasn't (although not the Katoa one) but made it all about how good it was that no-one was suspended this week so the crackdown must be working, rather than how the refs/bunker f*cked up and obviously still don't actually know what a hip drop is.

So looks like they aren't even going with the "yeah we got that one wrong", they are just sweeping it under the rug.

But isn't their journos at his conference? If we can call rugby league journalists journalists? Probably more interested in making up shit.

If his goal is to save money I suppose that's true, but it doesn't avoid future loading - there's no points system now

If he's out 2 weeks either way why spend 6k though?

Cop a meaningless ban for two weeks you're gonna miss anyway and keep some cash for the next time his scooter gets nicked

Also means he retains his EGP, I’m sure you can only use it once for per charge type (there was a rule along these lines previously, but accept it may have changed).

Probably wrong thread. But did he say anything about the dogs putting in a captains challenge after watching the replay?
I didn’t care who won but this made me angry.

Yes, rules don't cover watching replays, just needs to be within the 10 sec period. It was within 10 secs so decision to allow the challenge was correct.

Nope. I just checked.
Penalty was blown at 63:59
Challenge issued at 64:18

And this was after the replay was shown on the big screen.

I’m shocked nothing more was said. Sets a very dangerous precedent.

That was also covered. It's not when the whistle blows, it's when the ref advises what the decision is (which makes sense because how can you challenge a decision if you don't know what the decision is).
