The only person who can stop the roosters today is Steve Dank.

Has anyone watched the trials?

I wish the dolphins well ( I’m on their mailing list) but this should be a slaughter.

It might be different if Bennet got even half the players he wanted.

Anything less than a 30 point win by the roosters will make the roosters entirely untenable as genuine gf contenders.

20-30 minutes of a wrestle is the best that can be asked of Redcliffe.

Welcome to hell!

Roosters by plenty. The Roosters are one of the top 2 teams in the comp and clear favourites to make the grand final along with us. The Dolphins are favourites for the wooden spoon. It is an extremely mediocre squad. A lot of players are either too old or too young, very few at their peak.

I can see Easts not wanting to embarrass the new team so they'll keep the final margin at just 20-30 but they'd have the potential to make it 50 if they are ruthless.

I have got a real feeling of an upset on the cards

Complete unknown side, first ever inaugural game, chance to really establish the history of the Dolphins clubs. A win would be the game Dolphins fans remember forever. Dolphins should be up for this

Then you've got the master coach who wins Origins with the worst ever Queensland side. Also Bennett knows how weak Allen and Paulo can be and will be targeting them heavily

On paper it's a no brainer but I just feel if Roosters only bring 80% to this game they could get their pants pulled down

Getting on Dolphins +18.5

Most NRL fans I imagine would want Dolphins to find their feet and be competitive from the get go at the very least. Remember, this isn't the Warriors in NZ joining the comp, this is a QLD team! ;)

.... and let's face it, the NRL wouldn't want a blow out so early on. Dolphins with a little help from the refs get out to an early but small lead at half time. Roosters class brings them home.

Roosters by 14 and everyone talks about how competitive Dolphins were on Monday.

By the time this willing roosters side gets through with them, Redcliff are going to wish they never won their bid.

Bennet has packed some kit for himself just in case.

Some peak Parker commentary pre game here.
It’s Round 1 of a long race. Ironically talking about HIA
