The ref told them that even if Souths knocked on, he considered it advantage taken and gave him the option to withdraw.

Which is rubbish IMO, because they were playing to the ref’s call of last. So they can’t take a first tackle advantage if they aren’t aware of that information.

Terrible process, and not for the first time tonight.

scurrying 10m backwards trying to keep the play alive is advantage? No way they make that play if 6 again is signalled. It is the ref bullying the players out of making a challenge. It could be seen as cheating as it is outside of the processes of the game, has to be dropped
