2023 Rabbitohs Injuries and Suspensions

It would be nice for once to see one of our players make an “early” return to the field from injury.

Just like Ado-Carr did when he trained his butt off and returned 2/3 weeks earlier than expected after his serious leg injury.

Initially we were told Tom B would rest for a week and Latrell had a slight twinge and would be a week out at the most !!

We have spent a king’s ransom on rehab and recovery facilities !!!
We have 2 byes over the next 6 rounds, might be a case of keeping some of the guys wrapped up for the back end of the season? Who knows, tho it’d be nice to run on the field at complete full strength this year.

'Needs to be up and running' - Deadline for Blues' star duo as NSW face 'massive' double blow: https://www.foxsports.com.au/nrl/nr...5/news-story/667d8a284fe2478267ce8d6bb0de01e0

A bit more info on Trell and Cam's current status there.

Origin contender's injury scare - Early Mail: https://www.foxsports.com.au/nrl/nr...s/news-story/a670163c33f9e4c343f2c1620f085238

Cody gives us a real scare that's for sure!! Jeez I hope the reports are true that it's minor, if not, we're in some trouble.

While I've heard reports, he'll be good to go, I am concerned because we heard similar reports about Trell and Tom when they got injured and look how that's turned out.

Can someone please give us some luck with injuries?!!!

Cody has picked up that quad strain and won't play tomorrow. Thank God it is nothing major though, it's said that he should be back for the Cowboys game in Round 17 so I guess that's a positive.

Rest up Cody! We need you.

Monster blow for Blues as Latrell Mitchell ruled out of Origin II: https://wwos.nine.com.au/nrl/state-...f-injury/56ecd9d3-4082-488b-a460-20364c8e753e

This is obviously much worse than the 'minor calf strain' that was reported a few weeks back. It was said he'd be a possibility to play the Titans game but definetly the Dragons game. That hasn't happened and now he's out of Origin 2. That ain't no minor strain. It could be a four to five week return to play, if not more!

From a Souths point of view, I'm happy to see him not play Origin. More rest and recovery time is what's needed right now. Our physio staff can now work on him and get him right. That's the key right now, there can be no risk for Trell. Don't play him until he's absolutely 100%.

Hopefully he's sweet for the Cowboys and/or Warriors game but we'll have to wait and see.

Major clue in Latrell race - Origin Daily: https://www.foxsports.com.au/nrl/st...y/news-story/0e3e077e93f20154de1fc5d04ea62871

A bit more information and updates on cam's injury and how he's going there. I wouldn't mind if he's ruled out too for the same reasons as Trell.

Not happy to hear he went into the Titans game with a bit of a concern but still played.

Murray and the other Rep players have to let go of Brad Fiddler and the SOO Garbage. LET IT GO!!! Its going to wreck what should have been a stellar season. Focus - I keep saying- on the WEEKLY contests and who pays your salary. Forget Brad's garbage... let Penrith and Gwenda Gould fill his squad!!!
Really who cares about SOO???

What are you on about?
let go of what?
they get picked in rep football. That’s awesome for them. Rewards for being great club footballers.
I don’t know where you get all this garbage about them not caring about south’s.
he’s the club captain for gods sakes.

Casualty Ward - Mitchell ruled out of Origin III: https://www.nrl.com/news/2023/01/01...test-nrl-injury-news-updates-returns-details/

Far out that's a bit of a blow! No Trell for another four weeks when we thought he'd maybe be back next week. Not good.

However, it hopefully will turn into a bit of a blessing in disguise. Taaffe can fill in okay and with other troops back, we can get the job done without Trell. He won't play Origin and we'll have him fresh for the back end of the Season.

Hope this turns into a blessing!

Another reason why state of origin should be played at the end of season I bet manly supporters wish it was fancy loosing a gun for the season because a tv channel is chasing ratings

It is very obvious that Fifita and Carrigan colluded and lied last night to support Walsh.
Would like to see them have a case to answer for bringing the game into disrepute !!

A bit of news on Stretch there for those that missed it. Souths have officially ruled him out of next week's game as well.

While this is a pretty decent blow for that game, and we're going to be really missing a lot of stars now, I think it is the right call. As JD has said, this means he can have a month's rest and be raring to go for the back end of the Season which is most important. It's clear he needs a rest.
