Yeah nah. Beat Sharks, Souths, Raiders x2, Storm, not amazing teams but top 8 at the time and not cellar dwellers.

Been pretty damn average the last two weeks though, no arguments there.

Disappointing way to end the season but we still exceeded expectations.

it’s a bit of a skewed year where there’s only 2 genuine good sides, you just have to look at the prelim odds to see that. Then a few ok ones followed by a stack of ordinary sides and the three absolute shit at the bottom. So really it’s hard to say beating anyone else in the comp is s good thing. Knights def deserve their spot in week 2 of the finals thiugh. Next year they’ll be an interesting watch. Doubt souths, cows, manly etc will be as bad as they were in 23

SJ just interviewed on Sky (NZ), asked how we prepare for Brisbane, and he replied we just do what we did tonight and it doesn't matter who we play.

Sounding pretty confident there.

Yeah, assuming they can play Newcastle every week.

They rolled over in week 1 and put everything into week 2.

Bundled out unceremoniously next Saturday night.

To be honest, you're probably right.. but the big improvement for the Warriors this season is taking setbacks in their stride, and aiming up for the next game.

Next week is basically testing everything they've worked-on this season - winning away, competing with a proven top-tier team, dealing with pressure - you name it. A competitive performance (win OR loss, but not thrashed) would be great.

If the team falls over next weekend - even if it's a thrashing by the Broncos - it's still far exceeding most people's expectations at the start of 2023 & a great base for the next few years.

Looking forward, it's a great time to be following this team.

Bronco fans will also have the same attitude, not many had us in the 8 after the collapse last season.
