SJ will play and will lead Warriors to a good win. I think there's a little bit of theatre involved here. Shaun moved to NZ for this very moment. I doubt he'll let a dodgy injury stop him from a do or die moment. Warriors playing the media game.

Though, if i was Webster (which i'm not btw) i'd drop Dylan Walker for Lussick and worst case have Egan in the halves. Still have Jazz to play hooker regardless. Plenty of options.

Warriors will get it done, on the condition they limit Ponga as number one threat.
Geez, I'm glad you aren't Andrew Webster. Drop Walker for Lussick!?!? Jazz at hooker??!?! Please never coach us. You'll be an upgrade on Kearney, McClennan, Elliott and Iro, but I don't think your side is going to get the job done.

There's no theatre involved in SJ, incidentally. He is genuinely hurt. Why would we want to play that circus in our first trip to the second week of the finals for 12 years? Makes zero sense. Why would we not want him to play last week? We did. There is zero media game being played.

Game day! Still confident we will win this but if we don't, week 2 ain't a bad result. True for either team really, given expectations.

You didn't play him vs Penrith?

Probably because you knew you'd be able to play him at home?!
If SJ was genuinely hurt he'd have been ruled out beginning of the week. Even Webster said he's likely to play. He's probably not 100 percent, nobody is at this time of year, but it's still theatre because he's a great dynamic player.

Walker is a mess - a bonehead - and can lose you a game in the blink of an eye more than he can win one. Would take Lussick or Jazz any day of the week at home.

You want to play that circus because that's what professional sport is. You take any advantage. As the jam famously sung "That's entertainment!"

I'm behind Warriors mate, no hate. I'll be cheering them regardless.

No hate here brother, I rated you as a better level of coach than Tony Iro. Massive rap.

Im only guessing but Webster said unequivocally that SJ couldn't play last week. There is no chance you could convince Shaun Johnson to take a week off finals if he could've played. Zero. He might be 70-80% but that's good enough. We need his spark, his kicking game, his leadership.

Lussick is ok but we can't win without Egan at 9, he's too influential. And Tevaga is a horrible 9.

You don't need circuses in finals. That's a distraction. You need to eliminate all other noise than what is front of you, beating the Knights

Good to see we're on the same page bro. I always liked Bluey as a coach but i'll take the kind words!

Egan's a huge loss to Warriors when he's missing, I was just saying he could be moved into 5/8 rather than Walker. Egan has great game management, but always depends on those around him playing smart footy.

Ive put a few SGM's on this game so expect extreme chaos.
Congratulations to both clubs for making this far. Whoever wins is going to be over the moon!

If the Knights can pull off an upset today, they will equal their longest ever club winning streak of 11 matches (which occurred during Rd 25 2001 to Rd 6 2002).

Coincidentally, it was the Broncos that ended their winning streak in Rd 7 2002, which is who the Knights would have to play should they win today.

So who is gonna be the Broncos chew toy next week? Let's find out.

I kid, the Warriors are the closest thing I have to a 2nd team and if you held a gun to my head and told me to support a NSW side, it would be Newcastle for their ever loyal fans. I sincerely wish it was going to be anyone else.

If SJ is 80% fit I think NZ do this, however funnily enough I think Newie would be the better chance to upset Brisbane next week.

Warriors to get up with big home crowd behind them. I'm not sure the Knights have it in them to win 11 in a row...
