The star rookie halfback leading the Roosters into the future has been charged with a serious driving offence in which a person was allegedly gravely injured.

The star rookie halfback leading the Roosters into the future has been charged with a serious driving offence in which a person was allegedly gravely injured.
Sandon Smith is set to face the Downing Centre Local Court for the first time tomorrow, charged with negligent driving causing grievous bodily harm.

A Roosters spokesperson confirmed they were aware of the matter and the NRL integrity unit has been notified.

The 21-year-old halfback rode in to rescue a Roosters side decimated by injury for the finals series, pairing with Luke Keary in the club’s campaign before they were knocked out in the preliminary final.

The Central Coast-born rising star created history in 2023 as the first player to make his NRL debut for the Sydney Roosters after progressing through the club’s Central Coast pathways program.

He featured in 15 matches in his debut season.

It’s a good thing the Roosters signed the Chad to cover the halves

You’re welcome Roosters fans

Ezra is winning the off-season so far.

#BREAKING: Police say Ezra Mam’s initial roadside drug test returned a positive result, following a crash in Brisbane overnight. He has been tested further with those results expected anywhere between 24 hours and 2 weeks. More to come.

Quick straw poll: do people really need to smoke/snort stuff before doing everyday tasks like moving homes?

Or is it just dumb NRL players that do it because their CBA gives them protection against testing during the off season?

They're just as "dumb" as many people in society are. Just because they are public figures, we heare more about the dumb stuff NRL players do than Joe or Jane Blow.

Moving is a bitch of a thing to do, let alone while under the influence. I’m sure Kevvie is having a small chuckle somewhere
