To be honest, who would have expected 40K when Vegas was first confirmed? A month ago I thought 30K would have been a huge success.
Pity though the weather sounds like it might have kept a few away.
Glad it’s going back to Vegas for another 4 years. Build on this.
Agreed

Perth double header >>> Vegas lol

seriously though that’s a respectable crowd. Something to build on, will be interesting to see as the years go on if more or less fans travel for it. Only so many neutrals that can afford to go And may be a once and done for most?

nrl pulled out all the stops and did it well. Let’s see if it is sustained or another bookmark in RL history.

Huge success which you’d imagine will only grow and be even bigger next year with even more RL fans from both Australia&NZ and even the UK wanting a piece of the action and to go the following season.

im also sure more yanks will attend next year also having been exposed to it either live at the stadium or watching on TV this weekend.

Crowd predictions for the rest of the round.

1. 23,000 - Knights v Raiders. Knights got 29k + for the last 3 games of the season. But you'd have to imagine Thursday night will knock at least 5k off that.

2. 23,000 - Warriors v Sharks. Warriors sold out the majority of the games in the back half of the season, and ticket sales like this one will be sold out again.

3. 20,000 - Storm v Penrith. Storm seems to get around the 16,000-17,000k crowd against the top teams on Fridays and Saturdays. Banking on the season opener, no AFL in Melbourne that weekend, and the Penrith rivalry to bump it up a few 000's.

4. 27,000 - Eels v Bulldogs. The same game got 27,655 and 26,451 in the last 2 years. Realistically with the season opener, it could be a 29,000k+ sellout.

5. 18,000 - Titans v Dragons. Titans getting a rare Saturday night game which seems to be, by far the best crowd-drawing slot on the Coast.

6. 33,000 - Dolphins v Cowboys. The same game in round 26 last year got 33k with the Dolphins already out of finals contention, should get roughly the same figure this game. That said, the Dolphins absolutely geniused ticketing allocation might cost them a heap.
