2024 Crowd Watch

Yesterday’s ground holds 11000. Given that, at best, it was half full, the crowd is disappointing. The Druas crowds in this article are two years old. I have no idea what they get now. And I don’t know what their pricing structure is/was. Regardless, we should have done better.

The crowd was terrible, let's not shy away from that.

The fact that Union has started, and the NRL was only a trial no doubt hurt the game.

What are the prices of the Union sides games? And what crowds do they get? (I have no idea)
The prices for the Drua games are identical to what was charged for the Storm.

In terms of crowds they get, they have had as low as 3K against the likes of Pacific Moana, and also capacity crowds against the likes of the Crusaders.

Feels like a missed opportunity for the NRL, prices should have been more affordable for the locals. Bigger crowd, more children in attendance, games like this should not focus on financial return but on visibility and interest.
PVL and Abdo missed the point in this game, then again Vegas was more appealing to them, poor focus.
You know it makes sense 😏

The difference is the Super Rugby tickets are for competition pionts, not a trail, and the Dura are thier team, not 2 random NRL teams playing a trail.

Tickets should have been 50% cheaper than Super Rugby.

BTW, love your crowd posts, not trying to start a fight lol

Crowds Round 1

Sea Eagles v Rabbitohs (19000)
Roosters v Broncos (19000)
Knights V Raiders (20,000)
Warriors v Sharks (20,000)
Storm v Panthers (18,000)
Eels v Bulldogs (22,000)
Titans v Dragons (18,000)
Dolphins v Cowboys (40,000)

Total - 176,000

Las Vegas crowd predicted at 38,000 and the halved per game.

There is no science to my predictions. Just a wild guess.

They do not count it like that Vlad.

2 separate crowds will usually be taken.

I know. I just didn’t want to get into the argument so I took the easy way out.

You're always welcome. Maybe you could be our 50,000th member of the year!! 😍

I think the bays in level 7 east categorised as 'diamond' and $145 a pop will be a hard sell. Too close to Origin money for up there and completely absurd. Once they reprice it to sideline they'll go. Looks about 10k seats left (plus whatever is held for new members).
Crazy money for an nrl game

Didn't think that at all & completely agree. It would have been different if League in Fiji was like that in PNG where demand outstrips supply, but as I mentioned earlier, there is no history of large crowds ever turning up to League games in Fiji.

The focus should have been on trying to fill the ground (or at least the two grass areas) in Year 1 and then try & build from there.

If 33k have been sold already, I reckon they'll be a massive walk up. Considering the NRL with a week to go, they could get every team in the Vegas Precinct promoting it like there's no tomorrow, even give away tickets in food outlets if people spend $30 plus. Or players going in gambling sections @ the Casinos, and find someone having a bad day losing there money on the pokies and invite them with a free ticket to the game. That will boost the crowd to 45k to 50k me thinks.

Considering they just got 19K to a trial (with the venue not fully open and capped) I’d say round one should comfortably be higher than that, 22-23K.

Agree. Match is selling strongly already. Only the upper corner bays have more than single tickets in the Grandstand.

Crazy how popular they are at the moment. Christchurch game against the Raiders is already sold out.

Just noticed that CBUS has changed to Ticketmaster. That means that all large venues managed by Stadiums QLD (Gabba, CBUS, Carrara, & QCBS) other than Suncorp use Ticketmaster.

I've emailed Suncorp Stadium and let them know that Ticketek is trash and it's time to move over at their next contract. Susan on the reception desk probs won't give a f**k but I was BORED this morning.
