Awesome crowd! Shame about the week 1 crowds, feels like the potential huge crowds we were talking about won’t happen (though we may end up with 4 sold out games).

I'll throw it out to anyone who would know but that is 6 teams with a home average of 20,000 plus. Is this a record?

Shame about dogs form the last couple of weeks. On the back of a 6pm Friday record 35k crowd, the same fixture could draw 50-60k in a good time slot being a final, but I think the back to back losses might temper that a bit (if sharks win tomorrow). Back to back 30k plus crowds against low drawing teams on top of the dogs drawing 45k against Parra this year is outstanding. Good Friday for dogs was away, dragons was on Thursday night, and only played Souths once. Can only imagine if we had some sustained success!

As a dogs supporter it is interesting to think were the ceiling of our support is at the moment.

If we have the exact same result next year, 14 wins, could the average push up to second only to the Broncos.

Al things being equal this rounds total crowds will be just on 185000 assuming 17000 at Brookie and 28000 at Newcastle.

On the not so great side, the only chance we have of cracking 100,000 in the first week of the finals is for the bulldogs to hold onto 5th.

Storm should get up to 25000
Cowboys should get up to 25000
Panthers will get 21000

With bulldogs getting around 30000 we’ll just crack 100000

If it’s Manly (17000) it will be more like up to 90000.

Did you mean Dogs hold onto 6th? 5th is not possible.

The Cowboys average of 19k would be good enough for top 2 or 3 crowds in years gone by, that it's mid table at best, is a great result.

The old cliche "When Souths so well, so does Rugby League" should be substituted with Canterbury.

Also the Sharks need bigger capacity ASAP

Sorry yes. As for the Sharks. We need that stadium expanded asap. And play bigger games eg against the Dragons at allianz

Impressive results, especially considering this season was affected by bad weather a lot more than 2023.

Fair to say Broncos would have averaged over 40K had not over half their games being rain affected.

Newcastle possibly would have finished at least 3rd on the crowd averages, with wet weather really hurting their games against the Dragons (9,448) & Warriors (16,094) and impacting a few others well.

Canterbury's washed out match against the Roosters (7,169) dragged down a season which had 45K vs Parramatta, 35K vs Manly, 32K vs Cowboys & 27K vs Warriors.
