Twas the night before the grand final. And the mongs were out in force on the LU forum.

Hit the sack boys/neutrals and let us party in peace. We are preparing for the game tomorrow.
Fine! I'll build my own GameDay thread

Russell Aitken

Probably the worst performance in first grade I've seen.

Could barely get a pass away before being tackled at dummy half.

Poor Smith, he obviously thought that since he could rip a players arm out of the socket by inventing the chicken wing and utilising in a prelim and still play a GF, he could then the next year try to twist a head off.

Is a debate for another time and thread but I wonder where Ivan Cleary sits in a debate over the pantheon of great coaches ? Doesn’t strike me as a master tactician or man manager. Is he just riding the coat tails of a generational team? Was sacked in his first stint at Penrith and didn’t do much with the Tigers. Took a Warriors team to a grand final but they were stacked.

Looks like the Chooks Taliban reign of terror is returning to the Origin squad then.
Damien Cook apparently has already been pencilled in as centre for NSW next year by Freddy . Look , he’s quick and can move well laterally in defence. With Nico on the bench as backline cover.
