Definitely worth the read for the butthurt posts, and educational too. Thinking of sending my future grandkids to Penrith for their education. As for the late tackle, as much as I hate the way the modern game is heading, he had time to minimise contact, penalty all day.

Well that went pretty much how I expected it.

Klein and Sutton didn't know who to give the free ride to so it ended up being a shambles.

Looks ominous, arm isn't in the sleeve of that jacket, and the jacket looks to be on purpose to shield it from the camera.
Pretty innocuous from the vision but probably a partial dislocation and labral tear, maybe even a slightly torn rotor. A few weeks at best. Gotta feel for him.

We’ll probably do a Kyrgios and go out in straight sets off the back of this.

Disappointing result, but there it is, and painful to watch Clez’s shoulder exploding again.

Jack Cole will really need to step up now. Fingers crossed that Clez will be back for finals.

Cole aint it. Run first, pass never.

Bit harsh really and he is very green, but he has a lot of work to do if he wants to be an NRL level 6. Defence is good, so that a good foundation.

I thought hed looked good?

Maybe Daine to 6? He was really good for us there last year, hes defence in the front line is surprisingly better then at the back.

Blip on the radar, no backrow, some very questionable calls and lost by 2. Long way to go yet.
Long way to go for sure but it ain't a blip on the radar, this is just who the 2024 Panthers are.

They won't be running through the comp like they did in 2022 and 2023. If they are to win, it will be a 2021 style slog through the finals with or without Cleary.

I was being harsh on Cole. He has butchered a few chances by running though. Still very raw, so to be expected if we are being fair.

I think Daine to 6, he was good there for you guys. The defence is a bit of a worry, but with the ball and a bit of space he is so good.

We seem to be able to step up when needed. Getting the full strength team on the field together would be handy, but thats the same for any team.

Storm were good last night, most teams, yours included would be rubbing themselves raw to get within 2.

I'm still confident we can find those extra gears come finals. We will need some actual edge forwards on the field though.

I wonder if those Penrith fans saying the call on JFH for the late tackle was "b/s" would be saying the same had the tackler been someone from another team (e.g. NAS or JWH)? It may have been split second, and I dare say it wasn't malicious, but it was late and warranted a penalty.

Had it been JWH in that situation, yes it would have frustrated me, but it would have been a justified penalty - my frustration would be with JWH doing it not that he was penalised.

Hopefully that shoulders well and truly cooked.

Penrith should be stoked to have the opportunity to showcase that next man up mentality. Coach like Ivan can overcome the loss of 1 player.

can Melbourne go all the way if Hughes goes down? Munster not the player he once was.

you'd back Luai over Munster to get his team home this season

Storm played well and rightfully should be Minor Prems - should be spoken about more - the best most consistent team of this season with all teams involved - well played Storm

As far as back ups go - Pezet/Wishart > Cole

I'd say yes, only because of the depth we have in Wishart. We'd likely go 6. Munster, 7. Wishart.

That move would also bring Sua Fa'alogo onto the bench for a bit of strike.
