What Penrith have achieved is remarkable and obviously unprecedented in the salary cap era. Trying to say they are better than the Dragon's of the 11 in a row era, the subsequent Rabbits of the late 60s/early 70s, the Eels of the early 80s and then the Dogs of war who basically had 2 test level forward packs is great conversation with no definitive answer given different rules, players being semi professional, and the at times thuggery that was allowed.

Even with rule changes, salary caps, area restrictions etc only one other team has won 4 straight premierships. No other team has won 12 straight finals matches.
If they are not the GOAT they are number 2, and undisputedly the GOAT in the limited tackle and NRL eras.

Im inclined to agree. I suppose most would put up the Dragons era as the greatest.
Some though would argue that Minor Premierships need to be considered, otherwise the Panthers are the GOAT ‘finals’ performers rather than ‘GOAT’ overall. :bomb:

Absolute congrats to the Penrith players, coaching staff, administration, families & fans.

The chockos just got better & better as the game progressed & they squeezed the undeserving Storm out of the game who had nothing in attack.

In the modern game they're the best of all time, no doubt. A pleasure to watch.

I’m not sure we can compare St George’s 11 premierships to Penrith’s 4. The Dragons played in an era of no salary cap but more importantly, unlimited tackle.
The game was forced to change due to the Dragons dominance.

Penrith and St George should be 1a and 1b
Then Souths of the 60’s/70’s and Parra in the 80’s on the next line.

Storm played a dumb game trying to play like Penrith

They needed more offloads on early plays and running the ball on last when in decent field position

Winning the dally m jinxed Hughes it was one of his worst games of the year

If Penrith finish top four next year there’s nothing saying their experience can’t get them home again but storm should be favourites next year

Parra in the 80s win.

FFS you're all mad if you think otherwise. Those f**ken pricks managed to win 3 on the trot while actively being Parramatta....

Sterlo had long hair them.

He obviously did a deal...

I wonder with the Fox sisters if they’re actually league fans or if someone from the club marketing reached out to them to come to a few games. If it’s the latter it’s entirely possible they have little clue who Freddy is and just think he’s a f**king clown.

If they’re actually league fans then they’d obviously know who Freddy is and just think he’s a f**king clown

Surely if they don’t know anything about league they think he’s a f**king clown. If they know something about league then they know he is a f**king clown.

Storm would've beaten any other team on the night. Panthers were rock solid in nearly 80mins of ball in play footy.
Casey McLean, Daine Laurie are good backs depth and Jack Cole has done well in the halves since he debuted.
Young fwds like Liam Henry and Lindsay Smith are stepping up too.
The club's coaching and stds will see them press for another title.

Some insightful analysis on last night’s episode of NRL tonight. Blocker loved the fact that the Panthers were so HUMBLE . That’s right. Humble. As they showed them wiggling their fingers with 4 premiership rings. And Spud Carroll. Well , for all we know , he could well be talking fluent Icelandic.

No offence, but I wouldn't rule out the Roosters of 1935-37. In that 3 year period, they won 3 premierships, and did so by only losing 1 match in those 3 seasons (admittedly, a season was shorter back then).
