How the f**k do you watch those two incidents and come up with the same charge?

Host barely clips Schneider, who is perfectly fine

Tago injures Gray who is now out for 6-8 weeks

Same charge

NRL are a joke

least your useless coach might play Duncan! Host being out is a good thing!

Only Penrith could only get a week for taking a bloke out for the season
Payne Haas copped a fine for a hip drop on Cleary in the grand final (that went unpenalised). His hip drop caused a Grade 3 PCL rupture on Cleary and he missed the international games as a result.

He should have got WAY more as should Tago. It should be a month grade 1, in fact it should be sitting out the amount of weeks you take the injured player for

My complaint is more that Jacob Host got the same charge as Izack Tago. That's the ludicrous bit. Barely touched him, how the hell is that Grade 2?

Genuinely can’t even remember the Host tackle.

hip drop is the dumbest charge going around though so it’s a complete lottery what people will get

Host ran into the kicking leg of Schneider. He had plenty of time to pull out. Just because people think it's soft doesn't mean it's not against the laws as they stand.

It's certainly a charge. Probably on the lowest end possible for that sort of thing. But Grade 2? Come on.

He ran in to the legs of the kicker. NRL have to punish it because they threw the book at Freddy Lussick for essentially the exact same thing Host did last night.

Lachlan Ilias just happened to get injured which caused an overreaction in punishment and we’re now seeing it as the current crackdown.

Oh right. Yes that was indeed soft and an annoying precedent they’ve set with previous charges.

personally I think running into the kicking leg should be play on. The planted leg should be the only one protected since it’s a massive injury risk. If a kicker is worried about his leg - which he is deliberately swinging into harm’s way - he can always not kick or stand deeper.

This is all providing the defender stays on their feet though, not diving the legs Steve price style

Looks like no charges out of last nmight's games -

Looks like I spoke to soon. NRL website at 11.00 am had that articleuypdated with no charges. Now it turns out there are players charged out of Friday's games

3 players charged out of the Sea Eagles v Raiders game (namely Morgan Smithies, Emre Guler and Nathan Brown) and one player from the Broncos v Roosters game (namely Deine Mariner).
