Having actual halves so important with shortened prepartions like this. Unsure What’s going on with Wakeham but a spine of:

1. Bula
6. Wakeham
7. korisau
9. Donaghue

Would hold them in much better stead. What happened to the young Fijian hooker saints had?

Every time I watch nene Macdonald I wonder why he hasn’t been one of the best outside backs in the world over the past 10 years.has always had the attributes. I know he’s had some off field dramas, man what a waste
I was talking about this earlier in the game. He must have had some major off field stuff because he is almost at a sweep sweep level of talent.

There has been no direction at all for the Fijians.
Wakeham has a legal issue iirc.

If Fiji lose this, micheal Jennings will ask png heirachy if he can play for them in the promotion \relegation game. Fourth country to play for. Who was the former nswrl player who was nicknamed compass after playing for all four points of one

Fiji were woeful.

No structure at all or leadership, despite Tui's great effort up the middle. Clearly out coached I think.
Both teams good enough squads but there was a huge gap after 20 mins between the two. Way too much ad lib footy from Fiji. They wavered between ad lib footy and nothing at all. Effort but no execution. That surely comes down to prep.

PNG had familiar combinations which meant they only had to gain field possession and they could put it together . They wanted it more and ambushed the favourites. PNG well deserved win.
