I agree. 10 minute sin bin sufficient.

Players still need to be responsible for their tackles. It was an accidental hip-drop. Papsmear didn’t need to leave his feet. Sinbin. Moving on.

He left his feet because he got hit in the head in an accidental headclash. So yeah he was always going to leave his feet

But they do need to ref on outcomes and it was a hip drop

That's where the NRL picked the term from. It was brought in to stop players dropping down when momentum had stopped. Not 95% normal rugby league tackles from behind
What does it matter what they call it? Or where the term came from?

What you just described is exactly what happened. Call it “fish and chips” if it helps you.
