Also got to laugh at Robinson’s hypocrisy.

Apparently he rejected Elliot Whiteheads apology yesterday.

Said it was too many hip drops from him.

Yet this merkin continually supports JWH and Victor Radley.

Apparently Robinson’s shyte doesn’t stink.

lol

"Coach supports his players"

What a headline

He doesn't have to accept Whitehead's apology and Whitehead doesn't have to go to the presser and sook about it but here we are.

Be interesting to see Robbo's response when (not if, kevvie style) JWH gets suspended the first week he's back from his current suspension

No problem supporting your players but don’t throw stones in glasshouses.

The hypocrisy of the guy is breath taking.
Mate he said it to him face to face, he didn't go to the presser whinging about it.

Brandon just had his season ended due to foul play and it turns out it's a 6-9 month ACL injury. You will have to excuse them if they weren't quite ready to accept an apology.

Souths will have the whole NRL community behind them this week.
The whole story will be about the missing Roosters players when we're basically fielding a reserve grade squad.

Unfortunately the Roosters could lose another 3 players and still win by 20+

They'll cop a lot of flak this week and rightly so. Robbo has brought it on himself. I expect Wayne Bennett and others will join the pile on.

Roosters are in a bit of a panic and blood is in the water. Their last fortnight has been catastrophic. Suspensions, injuries and phoning it in against the Raiders to lose a home final have capsized their season.

On a different note, this game is the end of an era for us. The last game for Souths with a Burgess brother playing. 15 long seasons since Sam arrived.

Tom Burgess will finish up on 249 games, making him the 2nd most capped Rabbitoh of all time, and our most capped forward. A clean skin off the field (unlike certain brothers of his), and never really in trouble on it, save for the odd lazy arm here and there.

I'll never forget the performances of Sam, George and Tom in 2014 GF for us. Not just Sam's broken cheekbone, or George's try, but they all ran over 200m that game. Just immense.

Huge legacy they leave with us.

Agree the signing of the Burgess brothers was genius and turned your Club around.

It’s not how many players you buy for the Club.

It’s who you buy.

It was a home run signing.

There is absolutely no panic, that is wishful thinking. One thing this team is used to is playing with injuries. They nearly made the prelim last year with Corey Allen and Jaxon Paulo in the backline.

The performance itself against the raiders is not a big deal, bad days happen and it happened to you guys against the same team the week prior. I remember on the exact same day in 2013 they got rolled by the titans as an example.

The injuries are what they are and it ain't changing, next man up and time to move on. As for this game, the result is meaningless and just getting through with no further injuries would suffice. Ideally we would at least make your mob work for 2nd place the following day but that is secondary to the main goal of getting the replacements some game time.

It’ll be a struggle. Such a beloved team like the Roosters won’t be used to people hating on them.

The Roosters aren't beating the Storm or Panthers in 2024. And they haven't looked like doing it for a long time either.

The injuries are the definition of catastrophic. It's half of your spine and along with JWH/Radley they have to now eat into their powerful bench to find starters. Any advantage the Roosters had going into the finals has been squandered.

They should set their sights on week 2. If they run into Manly they'll struggle. Other bottom 8 teams will be an easier task.

Stop putting penrith in the same tier as Melbourne this year, it's delusional. We can beat penrith with the injuries, that will be made apparently to you next week.

We will still slaughter any team in week 2 manly included if we have to play that week but I doubt it.

In regards to the injuries I completely get where people are coming from with walker but the cheese commentary is a massive lol. He has been criticized from day one as a dud purchase and we would be better off without him etc and now he is injured it's "catastrophic".

See you next week ;)

You are missing the point on Smith. He hasn't been in great form but it comprises your bench starting Watson. Leniu starting over JWH is the same problem and every Penrith fan knows why he has been parked on the bench since his debut.

I get it. It’s hard losing players especially this time of the year. Emotions are super charged straight after the game. It’s a bitter pill to swallow when it is deemed foul play.

But no one goes out there to intentionally hurt someone with a hip drop tackle. Things can go bad in an instant with the chaos and speed of a tackle. Whitehead is definitely not a serial hip drop tackler that he was made out to be.

It’s not like he lead with an elbow to his jaw or a shoulder to his head or coat hanged him. If anyone knows shyte can happen in this game in an instant he should know with some of the worst repeat offenders in his actual team.

For someone who hates “ repeat offenders” he hasn’t done much to stop it happening in his own team. He looks like a real hypocrite with his actions.
