Cogger wins the battle of players Ivan has made look respectable by way of invisibility vs SOS’s toxicity.

Top 8 defence on show for da haters.

Do we call this one a coaching masterclass as well or is that only when Wayne wins?

The narrative will be all what a fantastic job he did setting up the Phins. Souths could win their first game against the Tigers by a fg next season and it’ll be a good ol fashion ambush.

Nathan Hindmarsh to Adam Elliott : “How important is Kalyan Ponga to this team?” Seriously. Do they get paid for this s*it?

I’ve give AOB credit he’s done a good job here. Lots of injuries and all the players being tapped on the shoulder, can’t be easy to keep good morale, but they were the only team fighting for the 8th spot that didn’t capitulate.

Yeah, I agree. But. Do remember these are NRL players. That’s a question a good chunk of them would still struggle to comprehend.

It's not a straight forward one. It's important to note it was Brodie Jones who was ruled to be obstructed, not Cogger. Cogger makes an awful defensive read and I'd have been happy enough for it to be given a try for that reason. His decision was bad enough that it had a flow-on effect with Jones.

That being said, Brodie Jones is impeded. He almost gets there despite this, he still makes a tackle actually. The difficult part is determining whether he was only impeded because of Cogger's actions.

It's not a howler like some made out, it's 50/50, I could accept both rulings. I do tend to think Cogger should be punished for his awful decision though.
