How are the Women's team a pathways team? There's no pathway for them to play NRL is there? They deserve their own thread and not just get tacked onto the lower grades.
Souths I assume would have the following Women's Pathways

Under 16's Academy/ Development squad
Under 17's Lisa Fiola Cup
Under 19's Tarsha Gale Cup
Harvey Norman Women's Premiership ( Women's NSW Cup)

You need the above (Women's Pathways) for your application to enter a team in the NRLW.

I assume further expansion is on the cards in the next few years - Souths/Penrith/Manly would be in the running - not sure where some of the other teams are up to - Dolphins/Storm- They were saying PNG will also have a NRLW side - not sure when

They have used "geographic reasons" as the explanation for not promoting South Sydney to the NRLW. There's no doubt that means too close to Nick Politis's house and the NRL are doing what they would love to have done in the men's game if they could which is excluding the greatest club in the history of the game for bitch arse reasons.

Each NRL club will have a NRLW team so there is no conspiracy at all.

They would not have added the Sharks or Titans if geographic reasons precluded teams from being admitted.

Souths application wasn't up to the standard of others

Originally 4 teams from 2018

Broncos
Roosters
Warriors
Dragons

2021 -6 team comp - Added - Knights , Titans and Eels - Warriors dropped out

2023 10 team comp - Added - Sharks , Cowboys , Raiders and Wests Tigers

2025 12 team comp- Added - Bulldogs - Warriors re-admitted

Next expansion - Penrith / Manly / Souths - Not sure where Storm and Dolphins are at with their women's programs - PNG will have a NRLW side also

Souths and Sharks were the leading women's teams by a mile when the NRLW started and the great South Sydney club has no issues ensuring their applications for anything to the NRL are anything but the highest standard.

Instead, all our best women players end up playing for Easts and other clubs and suddenly we're "not up to standard"! It's a blatant conspiracy and I have serious doubts Souths will ever be included in the NRLW. We were ready from the start but Politis wheeled and dealed it to be otherwise and he still holds far too much sway with the power brokers of the game.

It stinks and I refuse to support or even watch the NRLW until there is a Rabbitohs side in that comp. I'll watch women's state of Origin and Test matches because those contests have a team in them that I support but the NRLW simply does not and so is on the nose for mine and many other Souths supporters until that sad fact changes.

It stinks!

NSWRL Women's premiership started in 2018 same year as NRLW- Not sure where you get the idea that Souths and Sharks were the leading women's teams - prior to that it was the Sydney metro women's Rugby League - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sydney_Metropolitan_Women's_Rugby_League

Premiers - NSWRL Harvey Norman Women's Premiership

2018 - Mounties
2019 - CRL Newcastle
2020 - No Comp
2021 - Central Coast Roosters Minor premiers - finals series cancelled
2022 - Wests Tigers
2023 - Mounties
2024 - Illawarra Steelers

Most of the Roosters NSWRL players come from the Central Coast Roosters and or Roosters Lisa Fiola Cup/ Tarsha Gale cup pathways/ Sydney Roosters Central Coast Roosters/New Zealand Academies

Uncle Nick has no more sway in the game than anyone else does - he just runs the Easts Group better than other clubs run their organisations - He's not a multi billionaire by chance.

Prior to 2018 - a year, by the way, Souths were dominant all year but, oh well, we lost the GF and good luck to Mounties - there were different comps with different teams in the SMWRL. Souths won the 1st two comps back in 1996 & 97 . Those sides that came from the South Sydney area over the years include La Perouse Panthers, Marrickville RSL Kings, Mascot Jets, Maroubra & Redfern All Blacks (2 time premiers).

Mate, give it a frickin rest. Your pathways have been filled by our pathways redirected in your direction after it was declared that your mob would be in the NRLW and ours would be rejected despite ours being far superior on the field. We got sent to NSW Women's premiership instead which commenced in 2017 (not 2018) and was won by the Redfern All Blacks in it's inaugural year (while the Rabbitohs combined team was runner up in 2018 as mentioned earlier). Cronulla were premiers in the SMWRL in 2016. The NRLW might have started in 2018, but the planning and decision making obviously happened in the years leading up to it - 2016, 2017.

There is no sign of any Roosters women's teams in the honour rolls of the game prior to the NRLW commencing in 2018. The only side even mentioned from the east is the Sydney Bulls which won nothing. Yet, somehow their bid beats out Souths (also steered by non-accidental billionaires) for a walk up start as a foundation club.

So, clearly, all the talent in our pathways that dominated the game in those years that dreamed of making the big time left in droves, understandably, and many went next door. Your other pathways made up some as well but you got the best of our talent since then and do not tell me or anyone else that Nick Politics doesn't get what Nick Politics wants. Please!

Now, enough of this horse manure! And f**k the NRLW!

Wow your so funny dk licker
here's some oldies but some goodies -enjoy

Why did the Souths supporter cross the road? Centrelink was on the other
side.

What do your say to a South supporter with a job? I'll have fries with
that.

You know you're a Souths supporter when… Your Halloween pumpkin has more
teeth than your wife.

The market value of your car goes up and down depending on the amount of
petrol it has in it.

You can't get married to your sweetheart because there's a law against
it.

You let your 13-year-old daughter smoke at the dinner table in front of HER
kids.

Jack Daniels makes your list of most admired people.

You wonder how service stations keep their restrooms so clean.

Maybe that's why Souffs supporters haven't many or any teeth. - I remember the group of about 8 Souffs supporters I saw at Redfern Oval one day - very strange looking people as it was - no need for any of them to ever have to visit a dentist

Players added to the Souths 1st grade teams page that weren't there last time I checked a couple of days ago - Gerome Burns (5/8), Max McCarthy (2nd row), Nazareth Taua (2nd row).

Nazareth Taua is a young forward who began with the Marist Saints in New Zealand before playing Mal Meninga Cup for Redcliffe and Norths Devils in 2022-23. He started the final five games for the Rabbitohs' Jersey Flegg Cup team in 2024, showcasing his scouted potential. ‘Naz’ is poised to make an impact as he develops in South Sydney's pathways system.
