I'd say as what was cheap streaming becomes increasingly expensive we will see people jump around streaming services for periods of time rather than paying for multiple platforms. I know I used to have 5 streaming services when they were $10-15 each. Now they are $15-20+ I've cut down to 3 and likely to cull again.

Until they bring in contracts though you can jump around. Like I get Netflix for 2 months at a time catch up. Cancel it get another and repeat

I believe that 2025, you will need to subscribe to Kayo/Fox in order to watch AFL games for the first 8 weeks or so. Correct me if I am wrong @The_Wookie

On Saturdays yes. Other days as per normal.

This has come about as part of their new TV rights deal, and clearly Fox attempting to "copy" the NRL's Super Saturday formula.

Fox have wanted the AFL to do this since 2002. The AFL didnt want to give up Saturday night coverage on FTA, but it really doesnt matter much because its generally split audiences anyway

It will be interesting to see what extra subscribers this draws, and what affect it has on Pay TV ratings.

Clearly Super Saturday is working for the NRL in terms of Pay TV ratings.

yeh but are you likely to do that for NRL? Not like you'll be on one showing FRI and SAT games then after 2 months jump to a different one showing Thurs and Sun games. I dont think Id subscribe to 2 or 3 services just to watch every game. Id probably only be on the one with the nights Im most likely to watch live.

Well no. Just tune in to whatever has my team playing on.

There lies why it hasn't been broken up before
