Maybe they are including more bs in there than we know about

and afl is zero for one when it comes to Vegas and expansion
maybe, but odds are against Id say.

which has nothing to do with tv audiences and related tv value. But yeh we played in vegas.
Personally Id rather have the $500million or so cash from the tv deal difference!

Rugby league is growing

afl isn’t

once all our growth is factored in we will dwarf afl

tasmania and Adelaide 3 will never be viable adl clubs and will have zero value for tv

What’s up with the terrible afl ratings this year

As per usual your mate has left something out. This is the AFLs rating for Game 2 only - shown only in Vic/SA.

Per Media Spy:

Richmond v St Kilda - Melbourne 146,000 + Adelaide 43,000 delivered a total of 189,000 5cities and 297,000 national
Gold Coast v GWS - Sydney 31,000, Brisbane 19,000. for a total of 50,000 5 cities and 86,000 national.
Perth had WAFL with 7,000

NRL

120k in Sydney and 105k in Brisbane., total 246k 5-cities.

Foxsports provides 80 percent of broadcast revenue

Foxtel also believes these figures to be bullshit. And isnt ratings based in any case.

AFL 383k 2 games
NRL 439k 1 game

Does not really change the point of his post.

Its still very much a win to the NRL.

Anyone claiming to be able to derive anything conclusive from available data this year is full of it.
This is your most illuminating observation yet. Satisfactorily answers my original question.

Just slightly at odds with the implications of "and now we have Reach to try and address that".

Will be interesting to see what you come up with at the end of the year.

You're aware we all have the same public access to this information. The difference being I wont make shit up for you.

Anyone claiming to be able to derive anything conclusive from available data this year is full of it.

If theres no change to released data, then i wont be releasing anything except generic data, like average reach and average ratings per given timeslot and medium.

Is there any science behind that twitter accounts claim that the NRL is the most watched sport in Australia, by the tune of 10 Million more viewers?

That seems extraordinary.
