NRL could just send the Canberra Raiders minor Premieres team to England for the Ashes test series

Never get sick of that attendance figure of over 40,000 for a Rugby League Test in London that didn’t involve Australia or NZ.

Anyway, does anyone think a reciprocal England tour to Australia could sell out Suncorp, Allianz and AAMI? If the NRL could do a decent job of promoting the tour and put tix on sale as early as the RFL did, it could be feasible?

I will have a go at predicting those crowds.

Game 1 in Melbourne lets go 20k

Game 2 in Sydney lets go 28k

Game 3 in Brisbane 33k in a dead rubbber or 40k+ if decider.

Still worth it...

Harsh.

Brisbane - 50k (Suncorp)
Sydney - 40k (Allianz)
Melbourne - 30k (AAMI)

That would be contingent on it being advertised at least a year in advanced aswell as enticing poms to travel down for a holiday. But given the NRL are only organizing the pacific cup months out I have no faith that they'd put effort into an English tour.

Australia could only get 40k for a RLWC final at suncorp so probably no.

IMHO it’s pessimistic but probably close to what a lot of people think unfortunately.

I’d like to think that with a similar promotional mind set the English are taking with the Ashes tour along with a decent timeframe for ticket sales, it could/should be better..

I’m not even sure there is a plan for the Lions to come here with the WC next year (Obviously they’ll be here for that but not in the context of a 3 match tour) and a Kiwis tour to England in ‘27..

Lets hope those days are well and truly behind us.

My only concern is if the final will sell out considering Austalia are unlikley to be playing in it.
The game will be in sydney. It'll be a sell out if one of the island nations are in it. If both are in it then it'll definitely sell out

Looks pretty good.

Barnett is injured. And are we picking Tino if he isn't guaranteeing that he will stay on for the WC? I would rather pick someone who is certain to be representing Australia next year.

Centre combination needs work. Burton and Mitchell both play left. What is the status of Fidow? Same as above don't pick them if they aren't giving a guarantee for the WC.

Latrell gone. Burton would be left centre I'd think.

Tommy T? I don't like it much as I doubt Tom plays in the WC but right centre is a void at the moment.

How are the poms looking with injuries ? Any 1st choice players out ? Looks like Herbie will be good to go.

So far australia have lost Trell, Hammer, Turbo Barnett and Murray and lost Hass, Nania and Toia to the islands.
