How much are the crowds effected by the cost of living atm? The footy isn't cheap. I wish we could run some cheaper tickets .
It is the working man's game after all.

Agreed, seats behind the sticks should be $25 adults $5 kids. How much are the crowds effected by the cost of living atm? The footy isn't cheap. I wish we could run some cheaper tickets .

It’s important to keep expectations in check. The last 2 seasons have just seen absolute ludicrous growth that has altered expectations. Before the last 2 seasons it had been well over a decade of stagnant crowds of around 16-17K average. Despite a slightly slower start we’re still well up on that with some huge potential to go upwards. It's still early days, so we don't need to hit any panic buttons just yet. We haven't had Easter yet (Round 4 last year) whilst the likes the Broncos, Knights & Bulldogs have only played one home game so far (with the Bulldogs match being at Belmore).
If the Roosters, Dolphins, Cowboys & Eels could start a winning streak, that would definitely help, as each of those clubs can average 20K+.

From memory, Level 4 for the Bulldogs' last home game on Good Friday (2023) only opened in the same week as the game. Entering that game, the Bulldogs were 13th on the ladder (3 wins, 3 losses) and the Rabbitohs were tenth (3 wins, 3 losses). With some inclement weather, that game drew a crowd of 35,211.
Fast forward to 2025 and Level 4 is on sale more than 2 weeks in advance of the game. We have a situation where the Bulldogs are top of the ladder (4 wins, 0 losses) and the Rabbitohs are seventh (3 wins, 1 loss). It's safe to say the crowd looks like it will be the first 40,000+ crowd on Good Friday in ten years, but this weekend's results (particularly for the Bulldogs) will go a long way to determining what a possible ceiling really is.
There's a possibility that the Bulldogs going 1-0 (and remaining top of the table) and the Rabbitohs going 2-0 (and getting into the top 4), COMBINED with a mint day weatherwise, could generate a record regular season rugby league crowd (the high water mark is currently 59,708 at Accor for the minor premiership battle between the Roosters and South Sydney in 2013).
We got 5 tickets to Saints/Parra game on Saturday, I`m paying for everyone so I didn`t really feel like forking out $500 for sideline seats so I got 5 GA tickets behind the posts for $40, one of those $30 because my daughter is still technically a student, $190 all up so not bad, and I`ve read on here previously that behind the sticks at Commbank is the dirty little secret of hardcore fans at that ground. How much are the crowds effected by the cost of living atm? he doesn`t know it yet but he is an honorary St. George supporter now. Should be interesting.

Taking my daughter`s cello playing, German speaking, AI professional boyfriend along for his first live game of Rugby League, they`ve been going out for three years so I have to start taking him seriously, he doesn`t know it yet but he is an honorary St. George supporter now. Should be interesting.
crowds were the highest last year when inflation was higher than it is nowHow much are the crowds effected by the cost of living atm? The footy isn't cheap. I wish we could run some cheaper tickets .

Inflation "RATE" has come down but Inflation ( things going up) still exist.crowds were the highest last year when inflation was higher than it is now
Saints better win or he’ll become a Parra supporterWe got 5 tickets to Saints/Parra game on Saturday, I`m paying for everyone so I didn`t really feel like forking out $500 for sideline seats so I got 5 GA tickets behind the posts for $40, one of those $30 because my daughter is still technically a student, $190 all up so not bad, and I`ve read on here previously that behind the sticks at Commbank is the dirty little secret of hardcore fans at that ground.

I think it's an issue at larger grounds. GA at Accor ($35 adult/$20 child) is unwatchable, so you need a decent seat and that's a rip off ($55 adult/$40 child to sit on try line, or $90 adult/$65 child to sit on half way on Eastern side). How much are the crowds effected by the cost of living atm? Warriors are one of their biggest draws. That’s why they losing Anzac Day game wasn’t such an issue because they were going to sell out or close to for a normal round gameStorm have made the GA areas for next week's clash against the Warriors allocated seats. From a sales side, it looks over 20K already & I imagine will push for sell out with the Wahs 3-1.
They better win I`ve picked them for our Last Man Standing comp at work, only three of us left.I think regardless if the Dogs win or lose against Newcastle 40,000 will be there on Good Friday..
And its` effect on real wages would probably be only kicking in now, especially given the fact for many wage increases have been outpaced by price increases.crowds were the highest last year when inflation was higher than it is now
Doggies going going to lead the Sydney crowd averages by a long way this yearLevel 4 for the Good Friday game at Accor has now been opened, when it's opened the crowd is roughly 30,000... we are over 2 weeks out from the game.
50,000 is a realistic chance weather permitting.
guess it would be on season ticket sales about 2-3 months beforeAnd its` effect on real wages would probably be only kicking in now, especially given the fact for many wage increases have been outpaced by price increases.
