I’m assuming the higher sales in section 630 are likely because the automatic “Find Best Available” option directs users there by default. At least that's what happened when I went into buy a ticket that way.

Yep! The ticketek algorithm is trash
They're still using some of the software they first developed back when they were known as Best Available Seating Service Queensland Pty Ltd in the late 70s... there is only so many layers of technology you can slap over the top of such a dated system...

I've got a feeling that Suncorp Stadium is moving to Ticketmaster from December.

Got an email from the Stadium regarding their concerts at the end of the year - Metallica 12 November is using ticketek, Lady Gaga 9 December is using ticketmaster. I understand the promoters can make requests, but fingers crossed we are free from ticketek in 2026!

Just got 3 tickets
Pax 49268

Today is the day for the most accurate pax to Good Friday crowd attendance, as the 2023 metric is based on Tuesday pax for the Good Friday crowd.

If you use that as a factor to project this year's Good Friday crowd:
= pax / factor
= 49,268 / 0.699
= 70,484

So the pax factor metric officially puts 70k in play.

Sydney loves a major event and this one has officially been hyped into existence.

Origin in Perth looks about 80-90% sold out. Only top tier seating left.
Talk about ripping Perth off, those tier 3 seats are $309 adult. In Sydney the equivalent seat for Origin is $59, Suncorp $164!
I mean if you click into them the prices are $89, $139, $269, etc.

I thought Optus didn't have a bad seat? And that's not a dig either. Genuinely with how steep the stadium seats are it shouldn't be a bad experience?

Level 6 seats at Suncorp in 601, 602, 603, and 604 were $479 each as maroon members and $404 as regular (I think). $164 is level 7.

Granted, sideline at Suncorp is infinitely better regardless of the tier however upper tier level 6 were still more expensive than Perth. Agree that $309 is too much for Perth but your messaging is not quite right

I'm comparing the same seats in middle of side stand tier 3 at all 3 events. an apples for apples comparison. Its not about the view, I'm comparing the price difference for basically the same seat at each stadium.

Im comparing the top tier of each stadium in side stand around the half way line. Basically the same sitting position in all three stadiums. These are the adult prices for the equivalent same seat in the three stadiums.

Back Section 544 Optus $304
Back section 608 Accor $59
Back Section 722 Suncorp $164

Level 6 at Suncorp (western side) is also the top tier - which was $400+ per seat, and has since sold. The NRL deemed that as the equivalent, because it is on the sideline.

Perth just doesn't have the demand at that price, hence they've not sold. They'll reprice some of it cheaper eventually.

You're trying to suggest that Perth is the most expensive out of the three cities, which is not correct.

The flat seating pitch at Accor is where it sucks. The top of Level 6 is miles away from the near sideline, let alone the far sides of the field.
