I’m mindful of the sun when booking tickets I’d imagine a lot of people think the same when booking tickets for day games.

Camera side is in 30 degree sun, I wouldn’t be sitting there all game even if I bought the expensive tickets. Ends looked a bit more populated, not sure on the Western stand didn’t get a good look.

Anyway there is no asterisk for “people on the internet think it was fudged” in the history books, record round looks to be on here. 44,256 needed from Newcastle & CommBank.

Obviously the western stand is going to contain the majority of the crowd. But it's far from half the seats in the joint, particularly since it's the side with corporate boxes. So the other 3 sides are going to need more than the odd spattering of people for 15k to be in attendance, even if the western side is at capacity (which it wasn't from the occasional shot we got).
