On Saturday, bays 533 - 536 have come on-sale at Suncorp for Dolphins v Warriors. Honestly surprised how quickly the silver seats in 529 - 533 have moved, especially over some of the cheaper bays.
The Dolphins are on track for 33-36k, Broncos still on track for 35-38k.

Broncos tickets are selling at a snails pace, wouldn't be surprised if Dolphins v Wahs draws more - even though we are selling well into level 7, I don't believe we count stadium members. The negative press is hammering the Broncos crowd this week, unfortunately. Weather will be the telling factor.

With the football codes in full swing across the country, one point of interest has been the attendances and memberships garnered by clubs in rival sports across the nation.

This battle for eyeballs and wallets will be on full display this Friday night as Sydney’s two biggest sporting brands go head-to-head with the AFL’s Sydney Swans and NRL’s Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs set to host simultaneous home games.

Despite rugby league being the most watched spectator sport in the city, with a whopping nine NRL clubs based across the Sydney metropolitan area, the city’s two AFL clubs have made gradual gains since their inception.

These increases have been so much so, that due to market concentration, and being the older of the city’s two AFL clubs, the Swans have been the biggest individual sporting brand in Sydney in terms of average attendance and membership since the Super League War of the mid 1990s.

However, off the back of qualifying for their first finals series in eight years last year, the Bulldogs have made massive ground on the Swans, with their average crowd of 35,770 just shy of the Swans’ market leading 37,778.

So while obviously rugby league is the highest attended sport in the city overall, it will be very interesting to see if an NRL club can reclaim the mantle of the biggest individual sporting club in Sydney.

Redcliffe beating a Broncos crowd would be a great story in and of itself and only feeds the rivalry.

According to the weather apps (If you can trust them) no more rain for the rest of the day/night!

Hopefully people decide to go late cause sales have slowed right up last 2 days which usually see the biggest sales!
Shame if it doesn’t crack 30k

Anything under 25k would be disappointing

Bays 405-409 are almost sold out. Tickets still available in Bays 410 and 411.

Looks like primarily restricted view reserved seats remaining on Level 1 (and not many at that). Hard to get a read on GA.

Weather has stabilized and is on the verge of being decent.

The Bulldogs' first game at Accor this year vs Newcastle didn't sell into Level 4 East and was 24,113. This is comfortably more than that, and I think it might sneak over 30k, which would be Sydney's third 30k+ crowd of the season to date.

But isn't Marvel just as busy as the MCG? Granted it doesn't host the Boxing Day test, but has more concerts. According to Austadiums, by count, Marvel hosted 15 concerts last year.

Would be handy if the NRL ever owned a stadium one day.
Concerts are in summer. Marvel has 5 - 10 less winter events than MCG.
