Great crowd considering the timeslot and the form of both teams.
Also the weather has just been shit in Newcastle the past couple of weeks (including today). Phenomenal crowd, Christ I wish Newcastle could get their act together.
Awesome crowd and another great win! There’s going to be some big doggies crowds incoming!

Shit if eels actually found a patch of form the eels dog game is going to be insane.

Dolphins v Warriors continues to sell strongly. Pretty much only bay 536 has more than single seats on Level 5. 639 is selling into the back couple of rows as well. Weather seems to be better than expected in Brisbane as well, so hopefully that helps move some more tickets.

The Phins support is actually pretty surprising. I get it but still! And only going to grow.
But mate, they were the wrong choice!!! The Firehawks, an unestablished brand with less wealth behind them than the Dolphins was the way to go. People on here that don't live in Brisbane assured me of that

The success of the Dolphins has been huge and they have injected new energy into the game.

The fact that we are talking about a Dolphins home game crowd that could match or even succeed a Broncos home game crowd on the same weekend and at the same venue leads me to an interesting question though - how much is the success of the Warriors driving large numbers of Wahs fans to go to their away games?

Concerts are in summer. Marvel has 5 - 10 less winter events than MCG.

Even if Marvel has 5 or 10 less events than the MCG during the winter, I assume that the thinking behind it is the AFL is out of town for gather around, and the MCG is vacant. So they could try and make an event out of it against a well supported team like the Warriors. Promote the game over the summer once the draw is made at a venue with so much history. Marvel may not have the same appeal as the MCG.

Having said all of that, i much prefer league games been played at a rectangular venue.
