And so didn't Western Australia, but we still got a massive crowd 4 origin
Not really comparing apples with apples. Wednesday's match was an event game, which was priced and marketed accordingly. Technically the game day actually featured two WA teams playing as well, but we all know that had zero impact on the crowd.

Today's game, which my comment was about was priced at a premium, with the Dolphins spending nothing on marketing. Its not surprising it drew half of what the match achieved last year.

Perth crowd was what I expected, heavy rain and stupid ticket prices with all the attention on origin. Whoever thought that scheduling was a good idea wants sacking. Still had a lot of fun and got chance to meet our new CEO and coach.

mind you souths have had a hundred years to build a fanbase and only managed the same lol

Cold Friday night is the excuse now? It's a winter sport. Don't shackle Wests to a shite venue like Cronulla just so the Sharks don't look as bad. They would get bigger crowds at Homebush and should look to make it their home ground like Canterbury.
Sharks fans have all the excuses ready to trot out at the drop of a hat.

Hey Sharks take note, this is the type of crowds you should be getting and you’ve been in the comp longer then the Warriors. But instead of going forward you're going backwards. Yeah yeah I know Shark Park only fits 15k but you don't even go anywhere near that which is embarrassing for the NRL
They got 13.5k against the warriors the other week and that was only because 3k-4k warriors fans helped swell the crowd.

The crowd was as I would expect. Anyone who wanted to see a game of Rugby League did that Wednesday night. There's no 2 teams with less pull outside of their immediate geographical area than the Dolphins and Knights... I mean, I'm surprised that there was 10k fans of those 2 teams in Perth of all places, so this 10k seems more staunch RL tragics which is awesome!

The Bunnies only pulled 10k, so in all honesty Rugby league fans are fickle in their attendance, they really need to be motivated to go to a game...mostly it's knowing there's going to be a crowd to go...atmosphere.

Bulldogs are doing it well- building an attendance culture. Other clubs need to take note!!!
