2025 Crowd Watch

I have gotten GA and American Express tickets at Allianz before, and they have not included a pax number on the ticket.

As such, it is possible that a pax number is not being associated with GA tickets, and therefore the crowd is building much better than the pax number suggests.

I still think a 30,000 crowd is the absolute top end outcome here though.

Hopefully you're right...

The last couple of hours the Dogs have really been pushing on socials content for this game which hopefully picks up sales!

As an occasional time-killer, I've been loading past season crowds into spreadsheets, using the full season draws here at LU as my guide. Don't know where I should raise this as a point of order, but all Storm's home games from 1998 to 2009 appear to be recorded as played at Olympic Park, Muswellbrook, rather than Olympic Park, Melbourne.

As an aside, I recently encountered this diabolical set of crowds from round 13, 2010 --
Bulldogs v Tigers at "Accor" (Fri 7.35) -- 11,837
Eels v Storm at Parra (Fri 7.35) -- 7,572
Panthers v Knights at Penrith (Sat 5.30) -- 10,969
Roosters v Sharks at SFS (Sat 7.30) -- 7,934
Raiders v Titans at Bruce (Sun 2.00) -- 10,425
Warriors v Dragons at Mt Smart (Sun 2.00) -- 8,312
Sea Eagles v Broncos at Brookvale (Sun 3.00) -- 11,316
Rabbitohs v Cowboys at "Accor" (Mon 7.00) -- 9,688

Total 78,053
Average 9,757 (season average crowd was 16.4k)
The reason why we had a crap round that year was coz we were hit with thunder down under

How is the American Express area? I'm yet to do it, is it worth it?

Not the best angle of the ground as it’s in the south-east corner, but access to food and drink in the bar area is very good, I’ve never seen a queue for the toilets (though haven’t been there during a sellout crowd), and the setup is good for an after game drink if you’re in the market for one.

I would summarise as - very good if you are with friends / family who care less about the game and more about the experience, but there’s better seats if you want to focus on the game.

It's great if you've got people who aren't purists.

The missus enjoys games for atmosphere more than anything and she really likes it. Have taken friends for a few events that are more social than game and it's ideal for that. Viewing angle is pretty good. Even better if you get the bar stools on the concourse overlooking the seats.

Not bad for a Thursday night and out of state team

Last years game against the same opposition at the same ground on a Thursday night attracted a crowd of 17,714, it was earlier in the year so weather would have been a bit warmer. Was a disappointing crowd overall considering the importance of the match for the Roosters and one of the lowest crowds they have attracted at the new Allianz stadium ( there have been a couple just lower in the 13,000 bracket ), still i suppose for a cold July Thursday night it can be considered a pass mark.

The Broncos have elected not to reduce those deathly level 6/7 sideline corner seats, and they are not moving at that price for this fixture. The Parra bay has also just been opened, and it's basically empty.

38-39k. Hoped and expected for more if I'm honest, but think back a few years, could you imagine thinking that 5th vs 16th would draw 39k and it be somewhat less than expected? Rugby League is flying

i’m thinking 26-28k for bulldogs v manly game
Match has been showing some promising signs in the past 24hrs. Level 1 South GA has just sold out, there's been some big movement with the reserve bays on the western side and bays 232 & 234 have been put on sale on the east.

Match is finally getting some momentum, hopefully it just continues to grow exponentially tomorrow.

The American Express garden, bays 236-238,-
Are tickets to this area exclusively bought through Allianz stadium?
Is it advertised much? Haven’t really heard much about this area.

Because it's the coldest part of the year, teams start dropping out of the finals race.

Crowds usually pick up again in the last 3-4 rounds.
