Only played Melbourne once only played Canterbury once only played Brisbane once only played Cronulla once only played Penrith once.

Double ups were New Zealand Warrior, Manly Sea Eagles , Parramatta Eels, Gold Coast Titans , The Dolphins, Wests Tigers, Newcastle Knights and St George Illawarra Dragons. Only one of those made finals and they came 6th.

In comparison Melbourne had Parramatta Eels, Penrith Panthers, Manly Sea Eagles, South Sydney Rabbitohs, Cronulla Sharks, North Queensland Cowboys, Sydney Roosters, Brisbane Broncos.

That’s 4 teams that made finals as double ups.

So yes Canberra had an easy schedule and were exposed in finals. Accept it and move on to next year.
They'd have happily traded season draws with yours to get Dogs last week at home, lol.

I think sharks are a better opponent for storm. Before the sensitive Sally sharks fans come at me, im not suggesting raiders are better than sharks, im saying that IMO sharks style suits storm better.

The Sharks should run the Penrith 2024 GF game plan.

Every touch just go up the middle near Harry Grant.

Bellamy doesn't have the balls to rest him mid game and will let him make eighty tackles completely wrecking the attack.

The Sharks backline with AFB and Brailey can work Grant over.

Sharks don't play expansive very often, they prefer through the middle and making it a grind which is why I think they suit the storm better.

Storm have more game breakers in that situation in Grant, Munster and Paps than the sharks do IMO

Storm will start favourites. When was the last time Cronulla won down there?

Sharks defence was good tonight. I think their outside backs and their backrowers running great lines are going to hurt the Storm. The points are there if they want to run out that way rather than the middle.

Will be a great contest.

I was responding to someone so obviously he cared.
But thank you for the well wishes for next week, I’m not that confident to be honest.
It’s pointless arguing with people trying to wind you up is what I should have said.

the rest will help you and the sharks whilst very good tonight against a busted raiders side will may find it easy in Melbourne

They’ve had an amazing season and I know how much it hurts to go out like this.

Fans here talk shyte throughout the year but in all honesty there’s a lot of good people here on the forum and this point in the season you should show respect when an opposition team bows out.

Yes we do love it Slayer.

You'll be Storm Slayer next week.

Is this a bit like everyone tipping Raiders to win the spoon this year?

If you want it to be, I guess?

Tonight showed that they can dominate the middle but without the ability to score points, it doesn't translate to wins. The halves next year aren't as good as this year and there's very little extra coming in to the squad.

They deserved the minor premiership this year but they definitely overperformed, which is great, but hard to replicate or back up, especially with Sticky going full dementia and now having that to recover from. They will still have an excellent middle plus Hudson Young and some capable backs, but they will also have some glaring issues to resolve.

Not everything is a knock, me lad.

I think it's problems for the Raiders next year tbh. Can see them missing the 8.

Fogarty didn't have a great finals series but he's a massive loss. I'd be surprised if Sanders is ever at his level but he's sure as shit not next year. Otherwise no real changes to the squad apart from Brailey in, he's decent quality plod.
will be interesting, Fogarty's long kicking game got us on the front foot a lot but man he doesn't offer much in the opposition 20... I don't know what his try assist stats are like but he must be in the bottom few for halfbacks. I can't see us finishing 1st or 2nd again... maybe top 4 if we are lucky with injuries again

i don’t know mate, I think the way to beat the storm the last few years has been to kick down the front door. Storm have game breakers but they have a pretty plod middle rotation and missing the only spine player who seems to not play frantic in tense situations.

Sharks are a bad match for them, they’re confident and will have nothing to lose. I still tip storm but an upset wouldn’t surprise me at all.

Very high actually. 23 assists.

Burton is the quiet one this year. He isn't even in the top 50 players in the game for try assists.
