2025 Match Review & Judiciary charges

How about the referees spend less time memorising players’ names and more time re-acquainting themselves with the rules of the game. The whole idea of calling players by their names is ridiculous. They must spend an inordinate amount of time matching pictures of lower profile players with their names, not to mention memorising ways different teams try to “cheat”.
Of course they’re going to treat players like Cameron Smith differently from Joe Bloggs. Get back to calling players by their numbers .
And why do some touch judges look 50 years old plus ? Vision deteriorates over time. You don’t see any line judges at Wimbledon anywhere near that age.

More players should challenge nonsense charges/gradings at the judiciary. But it's pretty stacked against them to do so.
Problem is they get penalised when the powers that be double down on the stupid decision that saw the charges raised to start with.

I mean f**k Manly, but Sipley even being charged was a joke. Mitch Kenny should have fought his, but it just would have ended with an additional week on the sidelines because Sobbo had a sook.

Yeah, that's what I meant. That and the change brought in a few years ago about not being able to use similar incidents that weren't charged at all in your defence, basically a 'don't use our incompetence against us' rule. It's rigged against players defending themselves, they don't want players to do it, but it's always good when one does and is successful.

Couldn't agree more. Happy birthday btw.

I think Curran sin bin was ok. Wouldn't have argued against a send off though, 50/50. Sitili should have been sent off for either of his but, and how Burton didn't get binned blows my mind.

Refs have gotta be accountable
