Channel 9 Brisbane's 6pm news broadcast revealed a handful of games for the Broncos' fixture for 2025.

After their Roosters clash at Allianz in Round 1, Brisbane will remain on the road to face Canberra at GIO Stadium in Round 2, before returning home for back-to-back derbies - Round 3 v Cowboys then Round 4 v Dolphins. The return clash with the Phins is set for Round 24, while the two SEQ derbies with the Titans are in the Origin period - Rounds 14 and 19.

Last season the NRL scheduled the 4 teams that played in Vegas to play each other (Round robin style) in Round 2 so that all teams had the same travel issues. Seemed like a fair system, so why not do something similar again next year?

If it hasn't been reported here already, the full 2025 draw supposedly comes out tomorrow morning 8am.

* Edit: Sorry, that's 8am WA. 11am Eastern daylight savings time.

Round 4 I assume will have the Dolphins as the home side as they hosted the last Battle for Brisbane. It's pretty stupid that the NRL are still making sides play each other twice within 5 rounds, especially when often one side doesn't play against one or more sides before then

2021 Souths' season started with 2 away games
2022 Souths' season started with 2 away games
2023 Souths' season started with 3 away games
2024 Souths' season started with 3 away games

... and now we'll start 2025, again, away from home.

That Accor deal is a bloody noose around our necks.
2025 Souths' season starts with 3 away games.

Only one game at Accor in the final 10 rounds.

Yay.

Round 21 Bulldogs Sea Eagles listed as TBA

Bulldogs website says the below, which seems to hint at Allianz as a venue:

Celebrating 30 Years Since the 1995 Premiership

Coinciding with the Club’s 90-Year celebrations, the Bulldogs will host the Manly-Warringah Sea Eagles in honour of the 30-year anniversary of the unforgettable 1995 Premiership triumph.

The Blue and White will be keen on replicating the ‘95 side’s famous 17-4 victory against the Sea Eagles on the same patch of grass 30 years later - with a venue to be confirmed soon!

Roosters, Manly and Dogs don't get any of their 3 byes in origin affected rounds meaning they all have to play 3 games with origin players missing.

Both Dogs and Manly get two byes directly after origin leaving roosters the only team to have all 3 byes in full 8 game rounds.

So the Eora Round concept will be taking place next year in Round 24 at Allianz Stadium.

Friday: Roosters v Bulldogs
Saturday: Rabbitohs v Eels
Sunday: Wests Tigers v Sea Eagles

Easts won't have any Origin players

And they have the nerve to say that the draw is random lol
Souths and Brisbane are big teams.

Big in the sense that they attract TV eyeballs no matter how well they are going on the field.

They are always going to get tough draws, playing the other 'big' teams twice every year.

It's all about optics - they don't give two hoots about making the draw fair.

At least you have a proper home stadium. We're the new Wests Tigers.

Yeah, I've come to terms with our TV ratings (and there is seperate privilege that comes with it, of course), just hate how they try and pretend that it's a random formula that sets the draw.

Why do we have to wait until Round 22 to see Panther-Lite1 v Panther-Lite2? Wests Tigers vs. Bulldogs should have been scheduled in the first 5 rounds imo.
