I understand your thought process but I don’t think it would. I’d be interested in seeing it in red, yellow and green though

I don't why the Cowboys & Toyota couldn't have done something like this (of course a cleaner better version than my 2 minute photoshop) where the Toyota logo is still unobstructed, but the bar design isn't just suddenly cut off...

That, but with thicker yellow stripes.

That lemon-yellow shade isn't used by any other NRL team, so they should use it a bit more as a highlight.

Note- I'm not saying use it as a major colour - let alone to base an away kit on it, but that jersey just under-does it to my tastes.

Cowboys: We're gonna have a Toyota sponsor box over some of a key part of our design

Raiders: Hold my beer....

The away is bad enough, obscuring some of the green stripe, but the home Raiders one is THE WORST.

Adding a new design element (chest stripes) just to be covered up? MADNESS!

It's at least 3 or 4 years since we've had a good jersey and the better part of 10 years since we've had a decent home or away that's an original design. In that time we've also had two disastrous rebrands. That's an impressively low hit rate for a professional organisation.

I don't know who they're paying to do their branding and kit designs, but they need to sack them.

So what do the raiders do? Wear their alternate strip.

Don't mind the away jersey except for the fact that the whole concept of away jerseys sucks.

Raiders to wear 'colour rush' jersey in Vegas

The 'colour rush' jersey doesn't meet the minimum standards to be a color rush design.

A color rush uniform is a pretty neat idea where you take a single primary colour and make it dominant on all/most elements of the uniform through colour matching all the fabrics and materials to give the impression that the kit is made out of a single solid colour.

Like these original NFL color rush uniforms-

The Canberra one fails the basic concept so badly that the only possible explanation is that they either didn't understand it or were struggling to colour match all the elements and gave up completely.

It was a crap design to begin with that's only being brought back because it was created in the 5 year golden period from 89 to 94. Most people didn't even know or remember that the Lions Tour jersey existed until Seekem randomly did a retro of it.

It's difficult to move forward if you're always looking backward.
