Gees dolphins get a white jersey next season ffs

This isn't the great kit clash.
White or that pale yellow already in their colour scheme would work well as an alternate / away kit.

Save the black (ie: not one of their club colours) with the red and gold for Perth.

Terrible idea.

Any team with 2 colours (or more) that aren't white should never be running out in a majority white jersey. It's just lazy.

I applaud the NRL for allowing the Dolphins to play in a dark jersey against a club wearing a neither a dark or light jersey. There was absolute no jersey clash at all.

Whilst I 100% agree with the sentiment that too many clubs just go with a mostly-white jersey for their alternate / away, especially for those without white in their colour scheme, and it particularly annoys and disappoints me when that club has a different lighter colour but doesn't have that ad the dominant colour for their alternate / away kit (Parramatta of recent years, I'm looking at you ... but not this year), it should be noted that Dolphins' colour scheme is red, white, and that pale gold. White is in their colour scheme.

... but pale gold would be a point of difference between their light-coloured kit and the other 16 teams' light-coloured kits.

That's a good point. I don't think i explained my opinion correctly above.

What I meant to say was any club with more than 2 colours wearing a mostly white away jersey is lazy. It's even worse when white isn't even in the colours scheme but used on a away jersey.

A predominantly white jersey is terrible for all clubs outside of the traditional. I.e. St George Illawarra and Canterbury-Bankstown being known for white being a big part of their identities throughout history.

I know the Dolphins have a long history as well but not in this competition and the Dolphins club has been set up to be different from Redcliffe.

Yeah, 100%
As a passionate supporter of one of those teams who wear a mostly white away kit (regardless of a clash situation or not), it does my head in.

We (Newcastle) have had a silver/grey alternate for a couple of years from 2008, which did the same job as any of the hundred white alternates we've had ... but wasn't freakin' white, so it can be done. I reckon a mostly red jersey /kit (done better than the 2006-2007 kit) would also do the job in the event their main, mostly-blue kit, clashed with the home team's kit.
An away jersey for the sake of an away jersey I feel is also unnecessary. An alternate to avoid a clash with the home team's jersey is all that should be needed in my opinion.

The Knights 2005 Red jumper was easily the best alternate we have had!

given we have equal amounts red and blue on our main, a solid red or blue wont work.

so my preference would be for us to pick a 3rd colour (gold like Barca?) for trimming on the main and to be a larger part on the alternative to avoid the white

Cool how you have the 3 remaining foundation clubs (or in Tigers case, blend of two) right there.

If the Perth expansion team is indeed the Bears (with a solid link to Norths), I'd love to see all four play as a double-header at Allianz every season - maybe on a Sunday... perhaps on a rolling roster with each team playing the other three over every 3 years?

Bill it as "Foundation Celebration Day" or something. Could be a real gem of an event.

Plus, if it is on a rolling 4-year roster, you could total up the wins & points for/against over those 4 years and award a trophy after every 4 year cycle. :)
