Pre-season game or not , who gives a damn , it was just greeeat to see our boys take the smugness out of the Bondi jet - set ! ☺️

Still it was a good overall performance from the team , more so when taking into account that it was the first occasion they have played together .

Well done lads and to the coaches for the effort they have all put in over the off season !

Does anyone else get a Nightingale-esque sense about Lawson???
I do believe Lawson will occupy our left-wing spot, and Sloan will occupy the right-wing spot. I only wish Lawson was given some clean passes out wide. I just wanted to see how he performed running down the sideline.

Rumble impressed me and so did Emire our new prop. Now we just need to land one more first-grade prop and off-load the Molo brothers. Rava and Lawrie should be moved on as well.

Cautiously optimistic. Let's move onto next week and hopefully see more improvement.

It was great to see Gutho with hands on the footy in the opposing 20m, like a second #6 / third receiver. Haven't seen much of that since Darius Boyd (and to a lesser extent Dugan). This will help both halves who were also impressive in there own right. There was also a play coming out of our red zone where he bought both wingers into the play who then subsequently linked up, which got us out of some early trouble.

Suli looks jacked. He is in for a big year. Just needs to calm down and not be too erratic.
A lot of depth in the backs. Lawson needs a spot. Val Holmes silky skills (Lomax who).

Feel like we can do something with the troops we have at our disposal in the forwards. Albeit it will be some time before we are fully settled in terms of the props rotation.

Very solid Rumble, Glover, Egan, LPT, Reid... the senior players will be giving them all a huge pat on the back for not taking the foot off the gas when the team was rotated.

Defence has had a lot of work done and it's showing.

Hopefully we evolve on a positive trajectory all season long.
