Twas a great game to be at.. Mundane got the loudest boos when he got the ball and the loudest cheers when he made a mistake .
Magnificent game to be at. Mundane made his own bed, and it turned out to be a bed of nails.

With the largest Rugby League crowd ever - millions also watching on TV, the '99 GF was the most-watched moment of Mundine's career, in either sport … and it went horribly wrong for ‘The Man’.

There was a comical postscript, too.

In Round 5 of the next season, as the Dragons approached a grand final rematch with the Storm at the MCG, Mundine declared that Melbourne were not “worthy premiers”.

The Storm responded by dishing out a 12-try, 70-10 annihilation of Mundine’s Saints. It remains the most points that the Storm have ever scored in a game.

Ile feel better if the purple puke win this year's gf by 50pts or better bellamy deserves to win by more than 50 points becoz he has made all these no name players become champions..
Glad you understand the truth mixingmytoasties.

Hughes – One game in 2 years at the Titans, one game in one season at the Cowboys. Came to Storm when he was released by Cowboys.

Munster – Played QLD Cup for the Capras. No interest from Queensland or NSW clubs including the Bulldogs to who he was recommended by Jason Hethrington. Storm was his only offer.

Grant – Another Capra. Moved to Sunshine Coast Falcons (Storm feeder club).

Papenhysen – Tigers junior. Unwanted and released by the Wests Tigers due to the club wishing to re-sign James Tedesco.

And then we have;

Warbrick – recruited from Rugby sevens

Xavier Coates – was aiming for a career in athletics, but ex-Storm players Matt Geyer and GI convinced him to pursue a career in rugby league instead. Played under Geyer at Currumbin Eagles and after a couple of years at Brisbane chose to move to Geyer’s old club.

Jack Howarth – Easts Tigers (Storm feeder club) junior.

Nelson Asofa-Solomona – signed by Storm at 15.

And the list goes on…

My club has won 21 premierships has yours? No ..im a happy bunny..
Poor Myxomatosis rabbit only 21 premierships in over 100 years. Your argument is silly and no valid points so resorts to the old salary cap story . We were harshly dealt with and we have come through it. They weren't Internationals when they went to Storm. They were players that no one wanted Hard work made them as good as they are.

Winning 21 premierships is not an argument unless your club have not won 21 premierships..souths are a foundation club the purple puke will never be a foundation club..your the new kid on the block with the fins no history..
Why were the Myxos put out of the competition back in 99.. Good on you for being a foundation club there are a lot of clubs that aren't Foundation Clubs but there's no crime in that. I feel you have really childish arguments. Storm have been around since 98 Dolphins have been around 2 yrs.
