Warriors win this pretty easy.

Warriors have brought inferior sides to Penrith in the past and got hammered, but I can't remember when they were ever prevented from playing their best available side by logistics of the draw and Origin. I hope they fix this soon.

At least its a better side than the one that played Newcastle a few weeks back.

Ivan needs to pick a team with some kind of attacking ability but I doubt it. Only way we could win this is if Warriors are really
complacent but that doesn’t seem to be an issue for the 2025 version.

Wahs should have this easily - no origin players for Penrith and Wahs playing very well with the finest win this decade against the Sharks.

Warriors dont turn into the Worriers this week surely?

First of all... f**k PENRITH

But this is blatantly unfair on them. The NRL really needs to fix the origin period debacle. Whilst the game is kicking goals, it is still amateur hour in this period where teams are forced to play without their best players due to scheduling. This is and would not be tolerated in any other competition in the world.

While this is true, in years where we've actually been good enough to win the comp we've rested our Origin players in games like this, irrespective of where/when they were played. We're only considering it this year because we've been shit and really need competition points.

Not sure why the Warriors wouldn’t have all away games during Origin period, but anyway. Penrith will still field a decent team, but if Schnieder is picked they will rely on a 10-8 type of score line since he is terrible in attack.

Penrith 1-12 in an upset.

Ivan should rest his entire 1st grade squad for this one just to stick it up the NRL.

And I agree with Valheru, as in, f**k Penrith, but seriously, for a club certain to have heavy Origin representation to have to back up overseas 3 days later from a game twice as far away in the opposite direction is about as dumb as it gets.

LOL at the NRL for again looking like amateur dopes instead of competent professionals.

I agree.

Give Penrith and the Roosters 6 byes! And the Broncos too for some reason.
Every team should be able to field their best available side every game without risk to player welfare or elevated injury risk. That should be the bottom line. NRL or its drawmakers making decisions on who will be able to rest players for what games is just unacceptable. If you can't even do that, you finish up with a competition that is second rate. WWE on grass.

That's not even the worst of it. There's a 5 day turnaround after that.

Bad scheduling for us in this instance. Probable Warriors win.

Penrith will have left Sydney once between rounds 13 and 21. That is 6/7 matches at the same ground (Commbank). So as bad as this fixture is scheduling wise its been great for Penrith 2 months straight by the time we get to August.

Gives Penrith plenty of time to build momentum and hand out a Rugby League Lesson (RLL) to a few clubs.
