Scary thought hey. But the Warriors cannot achieve this in one game. Even the Buldogs 5 days later can't do it, nor can they do it in round 26. There are 6 games this side needs to win. They are the bottom 6 sides. It might be enough, or maybe they'll need one more. We will make the finals and win from 8th.

Is it that hard for the NRL not to schedule a match in NZ the weekend after an Origin in Perth?
I suggest there's bigger issues in the scheduling, like why Brisbane gets an away game every Magic Round at Suncorp.

It's a quirk of the draw, it doesn't happen every year, it's just one of those things. OK, I say that as a Warriors fan, but we spent 2 years in COVID camp then all and sundry said we needed to look after the Warriors and give them something for their sacrifice, and it was all talk (apart from the Tigers moving their home game). So to me, play on.

Not sure why the Warriors wouldn’t have all away games during Origin period, but anyway. Penrith will still field a decent team, but if Schnieder is picked they will rely on a 10-8 type of score line since he is terrible in attack.
Because we're not the little bitch boys of the NRL, who exist purely to open up a new market for them and like Oliver Twist, take whatever we're given then say 'please sir, can I have some more?' We have (would have had) two Origin players which more than what, 10+ other clubs. Other clubs get to benefit from the Origin period, no reason we shouldn't at times.

We have a really average record through Origin and have a history of losing games to under-strength Australian teams. So I don't expect at all that this will be a walkover.

But yeah if I'm being honest, there remain significant issues with the draw. This Canadian mob who do the fixtures, apparently there's issues in the AFL (same mob, I believe) as well. There's been some real stinkers this year. The idea that Origin cuts into our core product still makes no sense, but it's not going away.

We'll be much better than we were against the Knights as everyone is still playing in their position, but obviously the opposition is much better too. I was confident we'd lose against the Knights but we're a slim chance here like in Dumb and Dumber.

Wahs destroyed Sharks, but looking at their other wins, they haven't really gone up against it.

If give us a shot, but hard missing 5 Origin boys, a full squad, id have us taking it fairly comfortable.

Ridiculous that Healey is on the extended bench after how much more dynamic the Warriors were with him at hooker against Cronulla.

Sydney teams that are skint (usually Manly but this year wihout a home ground us) love to play home games at Brisbane, it helps balance the books, ie it is voluntary. Warriors coming to Australia was necessary if they were going to continue to take part in the absence of international travel of any kind. Having to cart players from Perth to Auckland for a less than 3 day back up followed by a 5 day back up in Sydney is neither voluntary nor necessary.

It is a bit of a stitch up, but it isn't impossible to get the players over to nz.
If that were the issue, Lindsay Smith would not be playing, but he is. The issue is that it is not conducive to good player welfare to play 3 games in 8 days, especially in such far flung venues as Perth, Auckland then Sydney. Knights copped the same shit sandwich a few weeks ago with Ponga. Basic workplace health and safety really.

We're you flying the health and safety flag before it affected the riff?
