Surely there were better options than giving 10 years to Brown. E.g. trying multiple rookies from NSW/QLD Cup in that timeframe, getting a decent Pom from Super League, converting a Union player like the Titans have done with Carter Gordon etc.

Eels defence much better, their middle third waa excellent. Bulldogs looked like they couldn't make any inroads after half time. Hawkins I thought was very good and Lomax was everywhere. Ilongi is class. If Brown put in anywhere near as much effort as the rest of the team the Eels win that game.
