Disappointing that errors cost us the game.
Although that ref bunker penalty on Wighton for who knows WTF for turned the whole game.
Like WTF is Wighton supposed to do when he is effecting a tackle from behind, with his arms wrapped around the guy's shoulders and arms?

The forwards were good, Mamozeulos was the pick of them, but a costly miss by Hubner let in a try, the backs let us down (except for Aitken and Gray), Mitchell was very disappointing, 2 runs from a 5/8 with his size, and strength just isn't good enough.

It appears we are playing with a hand brake on as if Burt himself is unsure of the squad primarily because there are so many alterations and absentees. The attack at present is poor and Mitchell in particular has to be more visible.

Tass has had an absolute horror.
3 unforced turnovers on his own red zone.
Is there not someone better?

He's one of those guys that can only play one side of the field and is just hopeless on the other. He's okay on the left and all at sea on the right. Brain surgery could solve the problem but I believe that may be considered unethical.

He's a reasonable left centre and an okay left winger. On the right he is handicapped.

Mitchell was obviously asked to run the side and concentrated on passing and kicking while putting the running game in the back pocket. If he played more games as a starting five-eighth, he might get better at getting the mix right but 2nd game in yonks and 1st start at 5/8 in triple yonks.

I think we showed great fight yet again but things went against us in the 2nd half and our handling was too poor to win any match in the end.

Hopefully we get Cody back early next week and then the make up of the side will be quite different yet again.

Being able to select the same side every week, as I've said before, is important as we build into a season and we simply can't get close to doing that as yet.

I'm not rushing to the nearest cliff just yet though. We have as gutsy side in 2025!

All I saw was a pair of bright yellow boots at the top of the TV screen, doing nothing while the side floundered, at outside centre.
If that's to be the case how bout moving Wighton to 5/8 and moving Mitchell to where he is more better suited - the injured list, the suspended list or any other club.
After yesterday's effort I've had a gut full of that guy. If that's the best Bennet can get out of Mitchell I've had a gut full of him too

Not many quality props on the market. The decent ones are asking for 800k +. Would rather develop good props like we usually do.

The refereeing in general in all games this year is below par the crack down on high shots is making footy a hard watch all these supposed forceful high shots and no one going to the head bin

Kepi supposedly hit their FB and got 10 ,didnt stop him from kicking the 2 points, if a player is deemed to have hit high and is going to the bin the player hit should be sent for the assesment as well,mandatory, to see him get up unaffected and kick the goal while our block gets 10 and either a fine or worse out for a game or 2 is f**king wrong

The game has been absolutely ruined by unnecessary & ridiculous rule changes which the refs can't cope with---the game is being run by a bloke who is NOT a RL man---he should go back to the bloody racecourse & never come back--I would firstly get out a CANE to V'Landys & give him 6 of the best--then 6 again,then 6 again & on & on until the guy racks off --unless a team is soundly beaten by at least 20 pts they could easily claim they were probably robbed as Sths could have done after that shocker---if I want to watch a comedy these days I just tune into the NRL !!!

I don't like bringing the refs into it because the cowboys made so many errors and went unpunished for it. Yes it was a bad call but we should've put way more points on them with the chances we did have. We're missing Humphreys and Murray big time. Humphreys with his long kicking game and Murray just solidifies our middle in defence way better than Hubner or Duncan do.

V'Landys and Abdo are firstly and primarily concerned with avoiding being sued and paying out compensation.
Everything else is secondary.

f**king ridiculous to call either of those grade 2! we should fight the grading. They've got to be kidding. That's an outrage!

Wayne was spot on 2 weeks ago when he said they are in no position to assess what level of force was seemingly applied. They're guessing. Instead, he said they should leave that assessment up to the medical professionals and if they deem the player showed signs of concussion or injury from the blow, then fair enough, send the guilty player for 10 and possibly suspend them. But if the player is fine, it means the force wasn't bad and they shouldn't be sent, let alone suspended.

It's idiotic! They are just guessing. "Oh, that was moderate force." But that other one was minor. How the f**k would you know? You're just a ref. Stay in your lane and leave it to the real professionals. You just ref the game and don't play physicist or doctor as well!

It's an outrage!!!

If Johnny SATTLER was playing today half of these pooncey forwards playing today would be mortally wounded & never to play again---the other half would be so shit-scared of Satts that they would retire immediately---Satts would be suspended probably every second week !! Drinkwater gets a supposed damaging headshot from Keppie then kicks the goal within the next minute or so that basically ends the game for us --sad,sad game is the NRL comp !!!!

It's all too much for these pretenders they call refs---have any of them ever played top-grade RL---the rules have been bastardised so much that these "thickheads" trying to control our game have no chance of succeeding---fans fork out their hard-earned dough to have the ref ruin the game with a ridiculous sin-binning or an equally laughable 6 again call.
