Trell has played the last two games like a bloke who is shitty about playing out of his preferred position the game against the roosters he played like a leader his mind seems to be somewhere else hope Melbourne are off there game next week
we've seen this same movie now for 4 years.
I don't think the guy wants to play at all, except on the odd weekend he wakes up and suddenly feels like it.
Getting into dummy half, taking yourself out of the play, not being in a position to receive the ball and run etc etc. That play where he caught a bomb, and then, instead of running and using your size and strength to bust the only two guys in front of him, but immediately offloaded 10 yards back to .....Keppie....., on his try line..... was the most pathetic bludging play I've seen in a long while.

I've defended him to so many people for so long, but no more, I'm out.

Defense wins Premierships. The Dogs showed they have a Premiership winning defense. Good luck to them, they are the only one of the other clubs I won't speak badly about as they were the only ones that had our back when we were kicked out.

Nah, Bullfrog Moore lied and sold out on Ken Arthurson, and then chose to go to Super League, and claim the name "Sydney Bulldogs " gave that league credo, because before that they had nothing from Sydney.

F....them, they are dogs, and always will be.

The ones that stood by us, when we were marching was Newcastle

I'm just referring to them being the only club that bought a table at the auction we had to raise money for our legal bills. IIRC they bid on and won the timekeepers bell from 1908,paid good money for it and then turned around and gave it straight back to us saying it's rightfully ours. You are correct though about Newcastle marching with us.

I know what your saying and I agree on what your saying but I’m willing to give him a bit more time

Not s

Not sure exactly how many times The Loft has to say this but I shall re-state it: Canterbury will win nothing they will come up short and they are not and never will be Bellamy's Melbourne or Cleary's Penrith. Let us quit the nonsense that they are "awesome" or the like.
After todays 2 results u look really u bad here. Cleary penrithalso n spoon contention.
Dogs is shown they are easy best team in comp.

It was one of several rubbish plays by a player that knows better.

We had a lot of circumstances go against us this week
-half our squad is injured and we have players playing out of their best positions
-the refs were actually horrible
-a 6 day turn around from a game in Perth
-Bulldogs fresh off a week off

In saying that I think today we truly saw some bad performances around the board with the second rowers, halves and centres being the worst.

We desperately need Murray and Humphreys back.

He's been their best every single game this season.
How can he be dropped?
Put Mitchell at centre, at least there, he will run with the ball, or run and set up the winger.
And he can't get into dummy half either.
Did everyone see yesterdays game? Mitchell was up to his old tricks holding onto players, niggling, even though he has seemingly lost weight i dont think he is fit, arrow is playing substandard his taking the ball up makes no gains and he is missing tackles, tass isnt a winger but weve got no choice, we missed 42 tackles yesterday and even though pistol pete made 50 he and arrow let king score, this dropping off tackles is no good all the top teams just dont tackle, they attack they push back, we are not there yet ,i dont think buds the answer to our attack nor dodd and its a mistake to resign cody,he is done, humphry and gray should be the halves,i watched gray in reserves, he will do the job, codys 700 can be split up between them.
We havent had go forward from round 1, im hoping we clean out shaque and host end of year we are desperate for big bodies and moale dosent deserve a pay rise he should be resigned on what he is on now, keppie really has outperformed his expectation,he may not be top of the line but he trys and puts in he is a good bench player making do

Let’s not forget about the fatigue differential in this game which was quite extreme. Apart from the Dogs being fresh off a bye while we were 6 days off a long distance day game, we had to endure a heavily lopsided possession count against us in that first half which took far too much gas out of the tank.

It’s not an excuse, it’s a fact of Rugby League that teams look to exploit. Put more load into the opposition’s legs by dominating field position and possession. Mistakes then increase under greater fatigue. It’s Rugby League’s version of rope-a-dope.

So, that explains a lot of the mistakes, missed tackles etc that aren’t normally there when teams are more equal in terms of energy levels. It was another warm day game.

Finally, quite a few of our players are returning from leg injuries which means their individual fitness levels had to have gone backwards while they were recovering. That’s footy but yesterday’s disaster looks a lot worse than it really is because of these factors that made it into a perfect storm situation.

That said, let’s get real. A few early wins has had us higher up the ladder than we really should be for this season and we played a genuine contender yesterday who had everything go their way including the officiating. We are not genuine contenders this year and we were exposed as pretenders. We need to get back to rebuilding our stocks and see if we can start to pick closer to our best side rather than continuously sticking together a patched up side every week.
