Since no one has started one, I thought I'd start one for whopm people thought were oiur best on Friday night.

For mine -

3 points: Nat Butcher. One of if not the best game his played in firt grade. Was solid in defence, was willing in defence, seemed very calm and collected, and minimised any mistakes. He made 23 tackles, 20 runs for 156 metres (54 post contact metres), 1 line break and 1 try. Only James Tedesco made more metres with ball in hand.

2 points: James Tedesco. 19 runs for 196 metres (54 post contact metres), 1 line break, 1 line break assist, 1 try assist. An allround class game from Teddy.

1 point: Hard to give this one as there were 3-4 I could give it to. In the end I went for Angus Crichton. 14 runs for 121 metres (40 post contact metres), 23 tackles, 1 line break, 1 line break assist, 1 try. A busy night for "young" Angus.

Honourable mentions: Naufahu Whyte, Billy Smith and Hugo Savalla, Svala's kicking game was class (534 kick metres), especially in the second half, and he also made 24 tackles.

3 Teddy
2 Whyte
1 Billy Smith

I think we are building nicely and becoming a decent footy team. We have to forget round 1 even happened as it cannot be understated how compromised we were. Since then we could arguably have won all of our games.

Defensively I'm seeing a lot of good things but the one area that needs to be improved is that when we do concede a try, a 2nd seems to quickly follow. The team needs to reset better after conceding and get back in to the flow of the game.

Savala didn't revolutionise the attack but what he did do was offer a long kicking game which has been sorely missed. Even when we struggled to make yards he pinned them back and the Broncos were getting the shits with it which is quite entertaining. IMO when Walker returns, Savala has to stay int he side with S Smith on the bench. I like how Sandon is developing but we need that long kicking game.

Billy Smith has been sensational since his return and could be an elite centre if he manages to stay injury free.

Whyte, Wong and Foketi are all coming along sensationally.

Teddy is just on another level. He is a true generational talent and what he is doing with this young team is incredible.
