Super League clubs are keeping tabs on Fijian winger Mikaele Ravalawa after being made aware of potential recruitment opportunities relating to the NRL talent. The 26-year-old, who is currently playing for St George Illawarra Dragons, could be part of a salary cap-related shake-up at his current club which has already attracted the attention of clubs in the UK.

Similar to the Wests Tigers earlier in the year, the Dragons are believed to navigating through some salary cap pressures, and that has seen them look at their current squad to see if they can cut some costs internally. Ravalawa is believed to be one of those players under consideration, with the Dragons also willing to contribute to his salary should a move arise.

Yes, every year they say in 2 years we will have a huge war chest to make big moves in recruitment.
But it never seems to eventuate.
What's the news on Jesse Marshke? The dude has a 100% win record as starting halfback. He plays with good effort, his chase on Kotoni forced a kick from the sideline. Maybe the team is better balanced with him in it rather than our so called best player who doesn't really play anyone else into the game. Hunt makes it all about him and he honestly isn't good enough to play that role. His tackle six kick options are terrible and game management is average. Plus Kyle plays so much better without him in the team.
We should re-sign JM.

I've seen a few games of NSW Cup where Marshke was put into 7 (in anticipation of origin), and honestly it was hard to watch.. I mean maybe he just needed practice, but he keeps hesitating and thinking and putting kicks into legs and it just looked like a guy who is an out and out 6, being forced into the playmaker role. In first grade I dont know if he was really doing any organising.. we won the games, but not sure id say its because there was a 7 on Jesse's back.

Kyle I think is the better 7, but I think to avoid the headlines that would trigger all the nepotism boyz/headlines, and also to create 1 less 'change' if you will in terms of numbers on backs.. he kept Kyle with a 6 on his back.

I'm not opposed to Marshke staying as our backup half because we need someone to cover 6/7 and 9 in an emergency, but I must admit id love it to be an actual halfback.. cause we have 6's in our system... LKT is the furthest along the pipeline.. he should be the nsw cup 6, but the 7 jersey is up for grabs.. we also have Bird & Leilua that can play 6, but we have really zero actual 7's in our system apart from in Flegg and SG Ball.
