The reason why the AFL get big crowds is because the state is very small compare to NSW, so my point is NSW is 5 times bigger then Victoria, so it's harder to attract big crowds I mean who wants to travel 6 hours away to watch a game of footy when you could just watch it on the box? No wonder the NRL is the nation's number one code when it comes to TV purposes.

i mean it also gets decent crowds in SA and WA...whats the excuse there?

So does the NRL

Anyway Victoria is the size of a ant, compared to NSW is the size of the moon

theres decent crowds, and then theres what you call decent crowds i guess.

Anyway, you cant blame Newcastle for Sydney fans not turning up to games in the same number as Melbourne.

It's stupid comparing crowds anyway because the differences between the sports are a chasm.

1. League is perfect for TV as the game is always in frame.
2. Sydney is a clusterf**k for getting to a game and that's where half the clubs are
3. Attendance is part of the fumbles culture

The only metric the game needs to compare against is year on year attendance and it's going well in that regard.

(and yes, you have a game at Commbank)
This sentence should not be typed by anyone with a League Unlimited account. How is this allowed on this site?

its possible to be a fan of more than one sport.
Not when you refer to the sport this site is based on as “you”. Which is used to refer to people other than one’s self.

And thats also true. But even if it wasnt, your crowds arent going to double to where the AFL average is while you play in small stadiums.
Another of example of you referring to Rugby League as something opposed to your sport. So much for being a fan of more than one sport (which we all know is bs - just like claiming the FLA didn’t copy Magic Round with Gather Round) lmfao.

It’s stupid because almost all crowd figures are fudged.

His figures are wrong, and even he knows it.
I do t trust your figures either big boy.

You tweeting that the nrl got its biggest ever round of attendances and crossed 1M for the year, then in the very next tweet saying that afl has also seen a rise in crowds this year and crossed 2M, and that nrl would need 900,000 odd attendance in the parra/tigers game to catch up doesn’t give you much credibility that you’re a neutral sports reporter.

It comes across as trolling - which it is

Not just trolling, I couldn’t think of a sadder way to live one’s life, than commenting on a forum site for a sport I don’t enjoy. Hopefully things get better for them.
