“Viewership increasing by 200.5m in Australia and New Zealand;”

lol almost 80 million more than afl

Interesting abdo knows what the nrl ratings are for nz

That seems like a sore point for some Aussie “footy” commentators

“The Pacific Championships, played at the end of last season, attracted total audiences of 6.3m – a 42.5% increase on the 2023 tournament, while the entry of a Papua New Guinea team into the NRL in 2028 was confirmed.”

Wonder why they never include the figures for the pacific champs in our totals when comparing ?

42.5 percent boost is massive
Mad numbers in there, so stoked they are including without qualification Touch, Tag and Tackle in the participation figures. 1.03m. The way it should be. Brilliant look when marketing the game.

Yeah I loved that graph, fumbles-w really highlights everything that is wrong with that game, the fumbling, the congestion, the ridiculous amount of luck not skill, and is consequently reflected in how the public view it. Apparently even f-ball fans bag it.
Giant sink-hole for the fumbles to pour their money into.:laughing::laughing:
yep with their 1bill revenue and record media deal Im sure they are stressing about it lol

Of course they`ll be bloody stressing about it, f**k me roan, they`ve got a dud product that they`ve made all sorts of promises about equality (length of season, equal pay, blah, blah, blah, trying to please everyone as usual) and are being held ransom by the butch mafia that run that variant of their `sport`. It is a f**king nightmare scenario and it`s going to cost them a bomb for evermore.

Well if they are half as smart as they think they are, they would be stressing. They haven’t always been the biggest sport in this country and there is a lot of momentum with rugby league these days. There is a reason they are starting. To talk about having Origin again, promoting indigenous all stars and started their Gather Round after the success of NRL’s magic round. They know NRL is rapidly closing in on them and their future growth prospects are not as good as NRL. I don’t think their new CEO inspires much confidence and the game is centred on a State that has one of the most insipid Government and economy in the country.

I hope he will put them figures on the bigfooty forum, as i want to see how the posters on their react
Nz tv ratings are a no go zone for him

Interesting the nrl can get access to them though

Good old wookie was arguing with me when I said they would be 5 million

Turns out it’s 13.7 million

Which would be well ahead of union

Making nrl the most watched sport on nz tv

Guessing NRL tv ratings off a single reach figure is a no go for me.

The report has cumulative NRL ratings for the year - for the first time ever. its valid data.

Theres a difference.
You could’ve just admitted you were grossly wrong

It wasn’t off a single reach number either

You assumed it was when it was a cumulative average over 10 to 12 rounds

For NZ? I dont even recall this discussion, but the Warriors dont seem to agree

After nine rounds of the competition almost 1.59 million New Zealanders have enjoyed matches on Sky Sport and free-to-air on Sky Open, a lift of 14% year-on-year.[1]

The One New Zealand Warriors’ matches are the most popular so far with the match against the Raiders on March 22 attracting an audience of 469,800 people with a further 63,800 viewers streaming on Sky Sport Now and Sky Go.[3]

The same data is used by the Herald without the explanatory notes.
